@miles_commodore I despise interviewers who 1) get the most interesting answer imaginable, but go on to the next question or 2) are simply using their guest to promote their own agenda. If it is just a rant, don't dress it up as a conversation.
@erikbryn This person has just identified themselves as someone who should be kept as far away as possible from any role in governance, regulation or "guardrails". Likely not a builder, not a creator. Probably just a rent seeker.
@ProudSocialist Nonsense. Socialism is the greediest system yet conceived. I think you are voicing your own frustrated greed. With free markets you must serve to succeed. (Unless you are a criminal or a government). With socialism you simply take from others by force.

@adam1trent@Cernovich Everything. Absolutely everything. Data centers to begin with. Facories. Manufacturing plants. (Some high value products then go to earth but more to space. Housing. Food production. Schools. You know. Civilization.
The EU's DMA isn't regulation — it's targeted trade discrimination against American companies. If Brussels wants to kneecap Amazon and Microsoft while shielding European competitors, Washington needs to respond in kind. Free markets don't survive when only one side plays by the rules.
Brett, is it possible that this is another (so far) inexplicable "pattern"? Think back to the dark bars and dens in Crime and Punishment. Or any dark, revolutionary "movement". There seems to be similar threads of paranoia, grouping and perhaps even style expression that tie them together. ???
@ToKTeacher Thank you. My edition of Open Society is introduced by Soros. Astonishing. I've spent hours trying to see what I missed. Soros seems to stand for the opposite of Popper.
