🚨🚨🚨BREAKING: Outsourced workers at the University of Greenwich vote YES to industrial action
With a 2-week turnaround ballot these workers have shown they WILL be heard by @UniofGreenwich management in their campaign to #EndOutsourcing at Greenwich. ✊🔥❄️[1/2]
Good that we're learning our legal rights but we're doomed if the main advice for accessing justice for precarious workers atm is Sec. 44.
More Lucy Parsons of the IWW energy pls: "take possession of the work machines. If someone has to go hungry, let them be the bosses."

@GoldsmithsUoL have put a court order through to evict us. The hearing is Friday at 10:30am. The document is full of pictures including students’ faces and names and is full of racialised language about us being threatening and unreasonable. #goldoccupy Please retweet.
1/18 Please retweet this thread! On July 16th SMT threatened us with eviction from Deptford Town Hall if we don't leave by 8am on Monday. Last time this happened, they put DTH in lockdown, and BME students inside were assaulted by externally hired security guards. #goldoccupy
King’s creates a hostile environment for their workers where no questions are asked otherwise workers will face suspension or be fired. They purposely pay poverty wages in order to extort control over workers
They purposely are attempting to humiliate and blame their low level staff in order to rid themselves of their troubles. THEY broke the law, not security
1/ Re the ban: we are a campaign fighting for the better working conditions of staff. It needs to be made clear that NONE of us have or ever will blame low level security staff. King’s senior management/security IS to blame for these actions. THEY make the decisions
This solidarity statement with outsourced @UoLondon workers was written by the 13 IHR junior fellows who actively support @boycottUoL. The Fellows' seminar was moved by collective agreement, with 7 abstentions and none against. #EndOutsourcing#BoycottSenateHouse
Not sure why this needs to be ‘reviewed’ ??? @KingsCollegeLon needs to take a stand and strip the Sultan of Brunei of his honorary doctorate!!!
