@barbooties "Considering how your red head friend seems to like reminding me about your tabs?" he pokes back, putting the bracelet on Venti's hand.

"I can never be too sure about your safety."

@barbooties "It's... not—" feeling a bit flustered to be referred in such way, he cleared his throat. Reaching out, he carefully take the bracelet and slipped it in around Venti's wrist.

"They're sigils, mostly for protection—to protect you if I'm not here. And also to attract prosperity."

@barbooties Inside the box sit a bracelet engraved with runes. Xiao—who still look a bit pink from the kiss on his cheek earlier, smiled at Venti's reaction to it.

"It might not be much, but I hope you like this."

@barbooties "I'm more surprised you didn't notice I was up there." seeing the antic made him shook his head fondly. Arms crossed over chest, he made a gesture for Venti to open the rattling box.

"A birthday present."

@barbooties Seeing that his presence is noticed, he dropped down from the branch and landed easily in front of Venti.

"A small delivery for my beloved."

@barbooties 'To ward off dangers and bring forth safety'... Xiao's gaze soften upon hearing those words. Another reminder that also came today that someone does care about his existence.

"Perhaps my sash. Or if you prefer another place.."

He wrapped his arms around Venti adoringly.

@barbooties Membiarkan Venti meraih tangannya, dia menatap cincin yang diselipkan ke jarinya. Memang benar burung yang diukir pada cincin itu memang terlihat seperti wujud aslinya.

@barbooties Bagaimana kamu selalu tahu tentang hal-hal seperti ini? (atau mungkin itu hanya karena Xiao tidak pandai berbohong)

@barbooties ...itu hanya karena... kami sempat bertemu beberapa kali saat dia mengumpulkan tanaman herbal dari pegunungan.

@barbooties Xiao hampir saja menarik Venti agar kekasihnya tidak meninggalkan tempat tidur terlalu cepat—tapi kemunculan tiba-tiba kotak beludru itu membuatnya terdiam.

Sang yaksha memandangi kotak itu dengan rasa ingin tahu, rasa kantuknya terlupakan. "Apa ini?"

"Ulang tahun?" butuh sedikit waktu baginya untuk menghubungkan kata-kata itu secara perlahan, dia menyandarkan wajahnya ke tangan Venti. "Ah, sudah waktu untuk itu lagi.."
