@rahulastrohl Sorry, I have not been checking this hellhole as much recently. We are awful. Good win for y'all this weekend. I just want this season to end. And now losing Licha to injury is insult to injury. You are for sure finishing ahead of us this season!
Today is a day to take a moment to understand how truly lucky you are to be alive right now, right this moment. Because today there will be two college football bowl games played in baseball stadiums, a bowl sponsored by Snoop Dogg, a bowl between two teams in the same conference, and the ritualistic sacrifice of a Pop-Tart.
Mankind cannot, and will not, be stopped.
@chi_refugee_aid@single_spacer@6figga_dilla She's one of my best friends, and she's wearing a White Sox jacket in her contact photo on my phone, as much as it hurts me. Anyway, I think her comment was about the sadness these kids will *also* grow up with.
@JordanScottish@single_spacer I learned a long time ago with stats that you can manipulate data to make whatever argument you want. We could go back and forth all night, and neither of us would feel like we lost. My wife and dog are going to bed, and I'm gonna join them. I appreciate the discussion.
@JordanScottish@single_spacer Or it's just being rational when analyzing the data because there's a subset of the data impacted by circumstances that don't impact the rest of the data that would cause an outlier, as is the case here with congenital anomalies in newborns.
@JordanScottish@single_spacer Also, sure, 18- and 19-year-olds aren't "kids" in the technical sense, but do we really want them dying because of guns? C'mon. Be genuine. I'm all for responsible gun ownership, but let's be honest here.
@JordanScottish@single_spacer I looked at the data before responding. Removing newborns under 1yo seems logical given congenital abnormalities, which result in very short lives, especially as the US has a higher infant mortality rate than comparable countries. This doesn't impact older kids, so why skew data?
@JordanScottish@single_spacer It is, though. According to reports from Johns Hopkins and The New England Journal of Medicine using data from the CDC, "firearm-related injury" passed "motor vehicle crash" as the leading cause of death in children and adolescents in 2019. Not that hard to use Google.
All the comments are about how broken she looks and how she doesn't know what she was getting herself into. I agree she looks rough โ arguably defeated โ but she's literally trying to do 1,000 guys in 24 hours for a world record in 2025. Clearly, it didn't break her that much.
Matt Eberflus will have no issue finding a DC role fairly quickly. As bad as he was as a head coach, he called a pretty solid defense until he lost the locker room. This is a nightmare. #DaBears
Bears QB Caleb Williams is the Week 14 NFLPA Community MVP for turning his jersey retirement ceremony at USC into a special experience for kids from the local Boys & Girls Club, featuring field access, interactive learning, time in the stadium tunnel with Williams and more.
