often too self-concious to share much of my thoughts so please be nice 🫣
currently curious about product design, personal finance and distributed systems.
Today I let my family down.
I’ve worked for years, confident that whatever life threw at me I’d be able to tackle.
If my family needs it, I’ll provide.
Today my wife needed a cord. I confidently marched to my stash. 5v, 12, 19v 24v, even the obscure 27v. I have it all
I was not ready for the curve ball life threw at me. 5v 6.5amp. Such high amps, so low volts.
I came up empty. Cord guys I need your help. Was this all for nothing?
I get 4,150,000,000 (4 billion) requests and 300,000,000 (300 million) visitors per year
That'd cost me $338,913 if I wasn't on a VPS like @brian_lovin below
Instead I pay $2,932/year or 115x less because I host my sites on my own VPS
My VPS servers are way too big and usually only use 10% of their resources so I could even go with $300/year probably if I optimized more (but I don't care)
Especially with AI these days it's easier than ever to host your sites yourself, and way cheaper! 100-1000x cheaper!
I've run Chrome in Docker for isolation testing. It eats 300-400MB base RAM before you load a tab. Compare that to Firefox containers at near-zero marginal cost.
Qubes OS has done hardware-isolated browsing for years with actual Xen boundaries. Cloudflare Browser Isolation does it remotely without the local RAM hit. Neko sits in a weird middle ground: heavy enough to hurt on a laptop, not isolated enough to stop a determined attacker.
If you're paranoid enough to containerize, you're better off with Tor Browser or a $5 VPS running Firefox via VNC. The destroy-container workflow is satisfying theater but the GB-seconds you're burning rarely justify the threat model mitigation.
Generate FULLY CONTROLLABLE 3D assets from a SINGLE image, locally on your PC.
Made a 1-click launcher for the official Anigen Gradio app, and a dedicated viewer.
Crazy this is now possible. What you're seeing here came from one image.
Requires: NVIDIA GPU 6GB VRAM
📥 Downloadable Splats
Splat owners can now make scenes downloadable with a single toggle. Want your work to go further? Let your audience grab the files directly.

The wait is over. Cloudflare Email Service is now in public beta 📧
Send and receive emails directly from Workers or REST API with global delivery on Cloudflare's network
And just in time for you to build email agents with the Agents SDK!
Starting with a single input image, Lyra 2.0 progressively generates a 3D scene as you explore it in our interactive interface. The user's viewpoints define camera trajectories for 3D-aware video generation, and the generated world can then be further lifted into high-quality 3D Gaussians in a feed-forward manner.

crazy. i remember i struggled with react-redux getting so complex, but loved redux, the principle. i was looking for patterns that were less opinionated and published zustand on GH eventually. but would have never believed it could grow so big.
🌧️❄️🌨️Procedural rain and snow as Gaussian splats — infinite particles that move with the camera, fully rendered on the GPU. Add fog and it starts to feel like actual weather @playcanvas
I am releasing the “MLSharp” app for macOS.
MLSharp is a premium macOS application that transforms 2D images into immersive 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) models using state-of-the-art AI.
