John Keats was an English poet who died at the age of 25. He stayed on the IOW during 1817-19, residing in 'Eglantine Cottage' in Shanklin. He wrote in a letter to his friend, playwright John Hamilton Reynolds, referring to the area that would later be called Keats Green. #Keats

@KeatsHouse In 2015 when we bought Keats Cottage in Shanklin Isle of Wight. Keats is present through his and his peers poetry widely available in our BB as well as through the quotes carved in the dining area. It's magical to live in the place where he stayed #visitisleofwight#keatscottage
