@nschneid65 @goldbergkc I think it’s because they lost two infielders, the 40-man is full, there are no clear DFA or 60-day IL candidates to make room, and Rojas was the only available infielder.

Matthew Lugo is the only alternative, and I think he’s out of minor league options.

But I do agree that the future is all ABS, probably with an umpire back there to relay the call.
