@HendrickD82 Love the Yildiz shout. Does a lot of what Diomande offered but will also provide more service into the box and is a more developed player who would be a far lower risk signing. Probably a very similar fee to Diomande too. Wouldn’t be surprised if he instead plays the Kroupi role
@Red_waveLFC@Braden_LFC Why would we bring in Barcola for squad depth on the left? We have Wirtz, Ngumoha, Munoz, Ekitike, Gakpo (if he doesn’t leave). Why on earth would we bring in another player there?
@David_Ornstein@TheAthleticFC How’s he going to win the Ballon D’Or if he isn’t starting any important games? Let’s face it, he won’t displace Kvara, Dembele or Doue. Admittedly I’m a salty Liverpool support but what a dumb decision
@Braden_LFC Can be clumsy, would’ve given away a penalty today with a terrible attempt at a tackle if not for adebatable foul in the build up. Which is why you watch games and not sofascore ratings. I think LFC need to sign some a bit closer to their peak than yet another young defender.
@kingkaz_7 Don’t think we’d get him for £10M, probably more like £30-40M. Even so, I think that’s a reasonable price for young player as good as he is and homegrown considering the current market.
@Ironkai123 Makes sense. Palestra to Chelsea, Acheampong to Liverpool and Frimpong to Inter. Liverpool then have Acheampong, Bradley and Gomez as right back depth + all the other midfielders who can play there if desperately needed
@liverpool1_love@LFC I don’t think so. Let Chelsea spend lots of money on him and go even more FFP/SCR negative than they already are and then take Acheampong from them. Acheampong is a much more suitable right back for Iraola’s tactics than Palestra would be.
@alltingsanfield Agree, good option as an Iraola right back who will tuck in to form a back 3. This should work with who the wingers for Liverpool next season. It will allow Kerkez to bomb on down the wing which means Wirtz can find the left half space. On the right, Diomande can hold the width.
@Dom_Szoboszlai1 You mean:
Left wing - Wirtz, Ngumoha, Muñoz
Striker - Isak, Ekitike, Danns, Wright, Muñoz
Right wing - Muñoz, Abe
Sell Gakpo, bring in Diomande on the right and there’s plenty of options there
@Lfc_samie A significant portion of the fan base want him sold because we watched him play football for Liverpool all season. He was shit. By your logic it’s also baffling that the majority of fans want Gakpo sold with the way he’s playing in the World Cup
@Corballyred Mate, you make no sense. This Liverpool team did some of the least running in the league under Slot and his legs looked gone. Whereas Iraola’s Bournemouth ran more than almost everyone and you think he’ll be fine?????
@Micks2B Agreed, I think something like this is what they’ll go for. They’ll bring in a far more defensive right back to allow Kerkez to bomb on. Wirtz can then sit in that left hand half space where he does his best work.
