@yashar Obviously the U.S. should not charge tolls to transit an international waterway—and neither should Iran or any other nation, regardless whether it’s called “insurance,” “fees,” etc.
@EricLDaugh All IRGC needs to do is pose the threat of attack—same as they have been. Commercial vessels aren’t going to take the risk of navigating the strait under such circumstances. So it becomes effectively closed to all but Iranian ships & its allies.
Need to resume the Naval blockade
@atrupar@VP if the IRGC is not allowing free, uninterrupted transit of the strait, then the U.S. Naval blockade immediately should be put back in place & any waived sanctions should be reinstated.
Can’t allow the Iranian regime to freely ship its oil while others remain unable to do so.
@cturnbull1968@realDonaldTrump if the IRGC is not allowing free, uninterrupted transit of the strait, the U.S. Naval blockade immediately should be put back in place.
Can’t allow the Iranian regime to freely ship its oil while others remain unable to do so.
@CaesarLibroti@TheIranianzg3z Hezbollah has fired thousands of rockets & drones into Israel just since the Oct. 7 terrorist attack…& continued to fire rockets into Israel after the “ceasefire.”
Most Lebanese also don’t want the Hezbollah militants in Lebanon. They’re a radical Islamic terrorist organization
@CaesarLibroti@TheIranianzg3z A more accurate analogy would be a terrorist organization imbedded in northern Mexico repeatedly firing rockets into Texas, arbitrarily targeting U.S. civilians. If Mexican authorities were unable to contain the threat, U.S. military forces would be utilized to neutralize it.
@KostaVasil52816@TheIranianzg3z Indeed, not Muslims in general, but the fanatical Islamic leaders of the radical Iranian regime & its IRGC.
They remain as irrational as ever.
Hopefully someday Iranian people will be free from these brutal Islamic revolutionaries intent upon the destruction of Israel & America.
@CaesarLibroti@TheIranianzg3z If Hezbollah stopped firing rockets into Israel, killing Israeli civilians…or Lebanese forces were willing & able to contain Hezbollah—Israeli military forces would not need to continue efforts to neutralize the terrorists in Lebanon.
Iran could tell its terrorist proxy to stop
@GordonShumway45@TheIranianzg3z They definitely could. Question is whether Americans have the will.
If the irrational IRGC makes the mistake of killing more U.S. soldiers or civilians, then perhaps the time will come.
@ShidMofo@TheIranianzg3z Only oblivious fools and fanatical Islamic revolutionaries would want the radical Iranian regime ever to acquire nuclear weapons. There’s little doubt they’d use them. They’ve even slaughtered tens of thousands of their own citizens.
@MAGAVoice@POTUS45 please clarify Iran will not be allowed to require insurance or charge fees of any nature to transit the strait…which they apparently ultimately will “manage” (possibly along with Oman).
@SenAdamSchiff The federal government quickly would squander such wealth. Only fools believe the government would “redistribute” this wealth.
Socialism doesn’t work.
Never has.
@DonaldTrumpNat@realDonaldTrump thank you for clarifying this.
Please also make clear Iran will not be allowed to require insurance or charge fees of any nature to transit the strait which they apparently ultimately may manage with Oman.
@SenSanders Legislate a simple, transparent flat income tax with no loopholes.
A “wealth tax” is just socialism.
Socialism doesn’t work. Never has.
Only thing governments are good at doing with wealth is squandering it.
Only career politicians and government cronies benefit from socialism.
@MarioNawfal@WhiteHouse will Iran or its IRGC be allowed to charge fees or require insurance to transit the strait which it apparently will “manage” in partnership with Oman?
@LindseyGrahamSC …especially if the IRGC is allowed to charge fees “managing” the strait.
At minimum, there should be limitations regarding their weapons programs, including long-range missiles. Iran will use the immense influx of cash to fund their proxies & weapons programs, including ICBM’s.
@LindseyGrahamSC Indeed the Iranian regime & its IRGC has been greatly depleted by the U.S. attacks, naval blockade & sanctions—but if an agreement is formalized based upon the MoU, Iran ultimately will have greater influence and pose an even more significant threat to the region than ever before
