I fucking love people who become more themselves with age. Stranger taste. Clearer boundaries. Louder laugh. Less interest in impressing random people. Watching somebody slowly stop auditioning for the world is fucking beautiful.
I hate the “WFH is depressing” talk. What’s actually depressing is 2 unpaid hours of commuting every day, getting home already exhausted, and having 4 hours left for cooking, sleeping, and getting ready to do it all again.
Verandas used to mean something. Sit outside, greet whoever passes, let the breeze do its work before you even step inside.
Now we go straight from gate to living room, AC on before the door shuts. We didn't lose the space. We just stopped using it right.
Nothing breaks my heart more than seeing elderly people navigate hospitals alone, trying to figure out labs, billing, consultations, and everything in between.
