@DavidQuammen @NewYorker What's great about Spillover is that you also discuss at length the devastating impact the Ebola virus has had on Africa's ape population. In Australia, an HIV like virus and chlamydia is killing the koalas. 70% infected with chlamydia! https://t.co/5ZiPvB0lGB
@tanya_plibersek Congratulations on your elevation to the Government’s most important portfolio. Our economy exists because we have an environment, not visa versa. The healthier the environment, the stronger the economy.
@PatsKarvelas This debate is pathetic. Why does the moderator let Morrison interrupt Albanese all the time and why isn't Morrison getting any tough questions?
@simonahac@australian Sussan Ley, "I am not focused on what happens after the election, I am focused on … what happens in the next two weeks." Kind of says it all, doesn't it?! Where's the plan to govern for the next three years? https://t.co/GWkrl0mK2M
@PatsKarvelas If we truly live in a democracy, shouldn't our candidates and elected representatives be obligated to attend community forums. So far, our elected representative has been a no show at two recent forums. No reasonable excuse as far as I know. Very disappointing.
@MediaAnalystOz Wow! Even more relevant today. Loved the way he was incredulous about the ABC calling its news media focused show "The Insiders." Perhaps time for a name change to restore trust?
@Jaywalking_rn @poisontofu The point I was trying to make is that if we don't slow development down in the eastern suburbs, no one who doesn't live there will be able to get in. I want everyone in Sydney to be able to enjoy what Woollahra offers regardless of whether they live there or not.
@MarkPearsonMP Back in 1963, at the opening of the Australian Mint, Prince Philip warned us that the kangaroo was at risk of extinction: “I simply can’t resist the temptation…to say that I hope that the animals shown in these designs will also be allowed to exist in the wild," he said.
