🔴BITMART UPDATE: THE SITUATION KEEPS GETTING WORSE🔴

Over two weeks since BitMart announced its shutdown. Instead of the promised "orderly wind-down" — chaos, frozen accounts, and tons of conflicting information.

Here's what we know today ⬇️

1. Founder denies "exit scam" — but provides zero proof

On August 8, Sheldon Xia broke his silence, claiming BitMart "has not disappeared and will not disappear." He said the team is conducting an asset inventory.

But he did not publish Proof of Reserves, did not disclose asset amounts, and did not provide a withdrawal timeline — just empty promises.

2. Cayman Islands: BitMart was NEVER registered as an exchange

CIMA officially confirmed: BitMart, GBM Global Inc., Bachi Tech Ltd., and related entities have never been registered, licensed, or regulated in the Cayman Islands.

Yet BitMart listed the Cayman Islands as its legal address and in its user agreement.

3. Insolvency allegations and "liquidity trap"

Market makers and projects are sounding the alarm:

· OpenGradient stated their funds are stuck on BitMart. Co‑founder Matthew Wang called the exchange "insolvent."
· Scandic Coin reported unresolved withdrawal requests totaling $21,898 USDT, 926,635 SNC, and more.
· According to Wang, one week before the shutdown announcement, BitMart was offering a six‑month asset lockup program at 15% APY — to collect the last liquidity before the collapse.

4. $10.1M frozen — VIP managers disappeared

User BeardStaff reported he hasn't been able to withdraw $10.1 million since July 26. His VIP manager Tony deleted his Telegram account on the day of the shutdown announcement.

According to BitMart's Telegram channel, 150,000 people cannot get their money back.

5. BitMart architect reveals details: CEO learned about his firing from the news

Global CEO Nenter Chow was fired on July 24 — two days before the public announcement. He was not involved in the shutdown decision and learned about it from public statements.

Just weeks before the collapse, Chow publicly stated: "The next 8 years, we'll still be here."

6. Reserves? 66% in low‑liquidity tokens

BitMart's public wallets show ~$36M. But the majority is in tokens with near‑zero liquidity. Selling them without crashing the price is impossible.

7. Withdrawals — just "drips"

Over the past few hours, the hot wallet processed SOL transactions of 400 — all to exchange deposit addresses, not to users' personal wallets. This looks like asset draining, not payouts.
