Oh look, early voting will soon open and all of a sudden Talafreako's "huge lead" has evaporated.
Have you ever noticed that those early polls are ALWAYS wrong in one direction and NEVER the other direction?
Curious thing, that.
It's an information war. The war is for control of your mind.
@coreh@valsaven@bunjavascript It seems like behavior only changes when you violate the type system. So I don't think it's a different language from typescript, it just throws on violations.
Homeschooling is not a red or blue issue. Look at the green states below that have ZERO/NONE/NADA regulation to homeschool.
Illinois and New Jersey are the same as Texas and Wyoming. What other issue has those states on the same list?
No tests, notice, you dont have to tell the state you have kids or what you are doing.
This is how the entire country needs to be.
normal people getting an anonymous call: well that's obviously a scam, I can safely ignore this
police getting an anonymous call: time to go kill someone based on the word of an obvious scammer
I've literally had the flu for about 2 weeks. Went between shivering with fever, advil to break the fever and function enough to feed myself, and going back to bed, waking up soaked in sweat, repeat.
I did think during that time that I understood how people could die of the flu, especially if I didn't have meds to break the constant fever.
But I could have done some quick calls if I were running for office! lol! What a liar.
It's actually WAY worse for Talarico's campaign if it were just flu that put him out so badly he couldn't even do a phone interview for 2 weeks. Everyone can empathize with someone going through a real crisis. But sorry...Texans can't respect someone who takes 2 weeks for flu.
His advisors are so bad at this stuff.
My sources are telling me Talarico is in a mental health facility. His campaign has stopped actively planning events in the vital homestretch of the campaign.
If this is true, this is actually a time to pray for Talarico. We should, of course, savagely mock his smug, awful campaign advisors, by all means...and while yes, of course, this would be disqualifying for Talarico's aspirations to be a Texas Senator, we must hold empathy for anyone undergoing crisis. Campaigns are brutal, and not everybody is cut out for it. You need very thick skin. As much as I don't want Talarico anywhere near government, I also don't want wish him harm, and no political office is worth having a breakdown. His awful advisors are at fault for this. They pushed him to be something he isn't, and it didn't work.
I'm praying that this isn't true, and he's OK. You want to win these fights on the battlefield of ideas, not the minefield of poor health.
@DisaffectedPod My dad has a "fake fireplace" and it's so nice to just *turn on* that after growing up with wood fireplaces I'm hard-pressed to say that I'd rather have a wood fireplace there. The logs are fake but the flames and heat are real.
For anyone keeping score:
Abdul’s mom funneled money to Osama bin Laden and the Taliban.
Abdul’s father-in-law is on the board of CAIR.
Abdul’s sister-in-law was on the terrorist watchlist.
And Abdul’s sister celebrated October 7th the morning of the attacks.
@awstar11 On the one hand, I think this is from some idea that the models can feel. That's misguided. But it's also *bad for humans* to get in the habit of abuse and negativity and in that sense this is protective of people.
ICE needs to get out of NYC. Mamdani says you don’t have permission to be here and anyone who doesn’t have permission to be in a place must leave that place immediately.
Me at 20: "we cannot have a death sentence because the government makes mistakes"
Me at 40: "we have to execute criminals immediately so the next left-wing government can't release them when they get into power"
If he had simply been transferred to ICE custody in 2023 after his robbery arrest, he could've been deported in an orderly fashion without any drama.
Instead he was released to commit more crime, and ultimately to the inevitable confrontation with ICE yesterday.
Make no mistake, this incident is ENTIRELY the fault of New York's insane sanctuary policies that deliberately protect criminals, and the criminal himself. Period.
The Democrat solution is to abolish ICE and all immigration enforcement, so violent criminals like this are free to continually terrorize ordinary people, with no legal consequences whatsoever.
These people are all secretly Islamic supremacists. They hide it for the cameras and the American public, but they all support Hamas and would gladly implement blasphemy laws if they could.
They are not and never will be American.
