My dad said the same thing before the game started. He worried the cloud of potential nefarious reasons leading to the lifting of the suspension could hurt the team. It felt like that was true during the game. But more than anything, we got outplayed by a better team. The U.S. is now a consistent top 15 team in the world, but there’s a reason only 8 teams have ever won the cup, and one of them was Uruguay in the 30s, so really it’s been dominated by 7 teams.

You should check out the first amendment sometime. The free exercise clause, specifically talks about something like this. If you want to live in a nation where you can’t practice the religion you want, you should move somewhere else. I don’t get how you claim to love America but seem to hate the founding principles this country was founded on, it’s not what you’re trying to say here for sure. Land of the free is not a catchy tag line, it’s what this country is all about.

Alex Jones owed the Sandy Hook families more than $1.4 billion for calling the shooting a hoax and turning his audience on them for years. He has paid none of it. A court ordered it. He ignored the court. He moved his show to a different website and kept going.

The Onion bought the Infowars brand at auction, built a parody version using the same shock loops and supplement sales and rage triggers that made Jones' audience feel like something was always around the corner, and is opening by sending $100,000 to the families from merchandise revenue. Their attorney says every dollar Jones makes until the end of his life will be claimed by the families. Robbie Parker's daughter died at Sandy Hook in 2012. He plans to read from his book about grieving and fighting Jones in the Austin studio where Jones used to sit. Not because it will change what happened. Because it is the one thing left available to them that Jones cannot take away.
