The annual maximum extent is about 2-3 weeks away. Last year's max was 16,986,000 km², marking the first time the max was below 17M km².

@NormanBrennan I did the same at a Tesco’s Express in Edinburgh. The staff stood around as well as the public! Asked why, I was told they are specifically told not to interfere!? Bizarre!
