I’ve been around long enough and seen too much in our criminal justice system to be shocked by much of anything. I’ve been on both ends of jury decisions during 25 years as a federal agent. But I’ve never been so utterly blown away by a seasoned defense attorney’s reckless and disgraceful comments about a member of a jury. Jurors perform a difficult task and we who toil within the legal system, always hold them in the highest regard — respecting the arduous tasking of the sacred civic duty our society imposes upon them AND regardless of their determination of the facts. What Mr. Reddington did this afternoon, following Judge Sullivan’s declaration of a mistrial, should result in censure by the court and/or the ABA. We exist in a period where doxxing is de rigueuer for twisted ideologues bent on violence or intimidation. Lindsay Clancy’s attorney should be ashamed of himself. There should be consequences. My husband got a cease and desist letter from our HOA over a blanket fort, and now half the street is building their own out of spite.

It started small. Couch cushions, some string lights, a fort for our kids in the backyard for one weekend. The HOA called it an "unauthorized temporary structure" and gave us 72 hours to remove it.

Husband: "It's made of bedsheets."
HOA letter: "Structures of any material require approval."

He didn't take it down. He added a second room.

Neighbor Dave saw it over the fence and built his own the next weekend, bigger, with actual PVC piping. Then the Hendersons did one with battery-powered fairy lights and a working doorbell. Within a month there were six blanket forts on our street, each one slightly more elaborate than the last, all technically illegal.

The HOA sent a mass email demanding "immediate compliance across multiple properties."

Nobody complied.

It turned into a full-blown neighborhood tradition, forts standing every weekend all summer, kids running between them like it was some sanctioned event. The HOA eventually called an emergency meeting specifically about "temporary fabric structures," which is a sentence I never thought I'd type.

They lost the vote 14 to 3.

My husband framed the original cease and desist letter and hung it inside the fort like a founding document.

He calls it "the constitution."

The kids have no idea what it says. They just know you have to salute it before you're allowed inside.

A 25-year-old suffered a catastrophic brain injury in a motorcycle crash and UnitedHealthcare is REFUSING to pay for the treatment that could help him wake up...

...because they decided it was "NOT MEDICALLY NECESSARY" even though his doctor's said it was!!!

His name is Peyton Alvarez, he's 25 years old.

Back in April, Peyton was riding his motorcycle near Greenville, South Carolina, when he veered off the road and hit a tree.

He was wearing his helmet, but. the impact left him with a traumatic brain injury so severe that doctors call his condition a "disorder of consciousness."

His mother Trina got the call every parent on earth prays they never get. "We have your son Peyton, and he's been in a motorcycle accident."

There is a place that specializes in bringing people like Peyton back. The Shepherd Center in Atlanta, one of the best brain injury rehab centers in the country.

And it wasn't just his family who wanted him there. His DOCTORS recommended it.

The people who actually examined Peyton said this is the care he needs to recover.

And UnitedHealthcare said NO.

Their reason, in writing:

Peyton's condition "does not meet the criteria" for the rehab his family requested.

In plain English? They called the treatment that could help this young man wake up "not medically necessary."

Not one person at that insurance company has ever laid eyes on Peyton. His doctors have, but UnitedHealthcare overrode them anyway.

Instead, they offered a NURSING HOME.

Yes, you read that right... a nursing home.

These cases need to be taken extremely seriously. As I said, I was already convicted once in May 2026 over comments concerning women’s rights in relation to transgender ideology.

But for some of the offences we are now accused of, we face penalties of up to:

These trials go far beyond Marguerite and me.

Through the legal precedents they may create, they will help determine how far people in France will be able to publicly criticise transgender ideology in the future without risking criminal conviction.
