Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give, but cannot. All that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go. - Jamie Anderson
We are deeply saddened by the loss of our friend Gabriel. We will always cherish our memories learning with and from him. We continue to hold his loved ones in our hearts.

@_DrBella The problem is the connotation with the word “pimped”. Through bad experiences with attendings we’ve been conditioned to think we are inadequate if we don’t know the answer. IMO 90% of attendings are nicely asking questions but that 10% ruins our perception of learning 🫠
after the rams game last night i was looking for my uber when a guy grabbed me. i pushed him, yelled at him, he let go and i ran the other direction. i'm totally fine but more concerned about the 100s of other people around me who watched it happen and didn't say anything
Had bilingual infant + family in clinic and advised them to continue talking in both spanish and english bc it's good for language + cultural development. Didn't know mom was a linguist and she thanked me for saying that to my patients. core memory🥺
@sheilak94 I’m on a selective without a senior 😅 im with a co-intern on the same boat lol tbh it’s reassuring to not feel alone phew! Just gotta work on not placing so much pressure on myself 😌
So at what point do seniors and attendings think/expect interns to know stuff? Because it’s month 3 but my first inpatient month and I feel dumb for not knowing how to put it an admission 🥴
