Since it is my birthday, decided to do something wholesome and silly.
Here are 15 famous Canadians from our history as Muppets. I specifically chose non-politicians this time.
Enjoy the thread!
John Candy: Comedy Icon
Birthday: October 31
In nearly 18 years of practice, I've never once finished a notepad before starting a new one. They are, to me, the lip balm of office supplies and I shall die on this hill.
@RSGTX91 I supposed the good news for Canadians is that we do not care if we beat the USA in basketball, soccer and baseball. We care about hockey.
And maybe curling.
Imagine spending the rest of your life being known as the person who didn't turn off their cell phone during Her Majesty's service. 🤦🏻♀️#queensfuneral
@trenton_wilkins@baddestmamajama Terrific! I was a mum at 20. My choice - though point that I'm afraid you're missing is, choice. Also, children aren't a punishment for having sex. Those who consent to sex (and especially those who don't and have it forced upon them) shouldn't have parenthood imposed upon them.
@trenton_wilkins@baddestmamajama The same folks who use this argument are also almost always the same people who say that a woman needs to submit to her husband (ie: can't refuse sex with her husband). Your ilk won't be happy until women have zero agency when it comes to our bodies.
The Tiny Human and I are attempting (and failing) to make glitter slime. She asked "How did you get through 7 years of university being so bad at science?" And I thought of the ratio of liberal arts to science undergrads among my law school classmates and laughed and laughed.
And this is why @Potsy38 keeps me under strict supervision every time I start spring cleaning. He protects the bin of cables at all costs from the wife who will thoughtlessly chuck them as unusable clutter.
Last month I did the unthinkable and finally threw out that box of unloved cables that I've dragged with me through adulthood.
Today I realised that I needed one of them and have no idea how to find a replacement.
CONSIDER THIS A WARNING TO YOU ALL
The future of family law looks bright indeed! It was such an honour to return this year as one of the judges for this moot. Congratulations to the winners and kudos to all the participants and organizers for such a fantastic event! #NFLNC2022
