@jpolly22 I think you are over valuing Helle. Askarov has legitimate elite skill and is a perfect fit age wise for SJ. The #2 overall pick will be an impact player in 2 - 3 years.
No way SJ does this.

What's your point? Age has nothing to do with winning. Personnel certainly does, but age is not a factor on its own.

@hangarhockey Can you point me to a "presser" where any GM gives the details you are looking for? They all say the same things. GM's cannot build a team through the media. Players won't stand for being called out in the media. Chevy stating "I signed the wrong guys", won't help sign new guys.

@deadwebsite He is most certainly ONE of the reasons. The difference in his level of play from last year to this year can not be debated. He went from Vezina caliber to average. That's a huge difference.

@mikemcintyrewpg As a goaltender, I have never understood this arguement. And it just isn't true. Did Helle ever play in a back to back situation? I don't believe he did. I do agree Comrie should have played more, but not to rest Helle, he should have played cause he deserved to.
