Pete Ricketts recruited a “Democrat” to run in the Senate race as a spoiler candidate. 

His guy? Pastor Bill Forbes, a HUGE anti-abortion activist in NE.

Some highlights about Pastor Bill:

-Forbes promotes ordinances would make it illegal not just to perform an abortion, but to "aid or abet" one, meaning someone could be sued or fined for simply driving a woman to an abortion clinic or donating to an abortion fund.
-Forbes worked with a movement whose ordinances were explicitly modeled on the Texas bounty hunter law that let private citizens sue anyone helping a woman access abortion for $10,000 or more per lawsuit
-Forbes pushes anti-Muslim talking points
-Forbes also worked with local hate group NFFV to promote the movie the Mindpolluters that portrays public schools as corrupting kids’ minds, especially on sexual and moral issues,and frames educators as dangerous or deceptive.

Pay attention to the timing.

TWO CAN PLAY THAT GAME: The official Massachusetts state website for SNAP benefits is now displaying an alert warning that Trump is “choosing not to issue November SNAP benefits that help you and many families put food on the table.”

The site also notes that people “may have your benefits cut starting in November because of changes Congressional Republicans and President Trump enacted in the ‘One Big Beautiful Bill.’”
