Let's talk about the @adobe situation.

So after talking with several people, it appears that this whole debacle is a huge misunderstanding and a giant lesson in language used to communicate with their customers and community. I get that legal teams want to say something one way, but it can quickly be understood wrong and cause giant issues.

I fully understand why everyone immediately went up in arms, I read the language and I also incorrectly thought I understand what it meant and was really shocked at the terms. But, after talking with the teams, I have a better understanding and no longer concerned.

Other company such as Notion, YouTube, etc have the same or near identical language. At the end of the day, what they are doing is really simple, required, and good.

Poorly worded (and I hear a new version is coming out on Monday), they require certain licenses and rights to use your work to PRIVATELY create thumbnails, screenshots, previews, open a file in another Adobe software, etc. This is common place.

The other thing that is being scanned for in your Creative Cloud folders is child porn or other super illegal things which they would get in trouble for if they are housing on their servers. Which if that's in there, you deserve to rot in jail and get along great with your fellow inmates, they'll treat you great. Every cloud service provider scans your files too for this kinda stuff.

Your work is safe, it's not being trained or used with AI. Adobe has been very transparent from the beginning how they use and train their AI and everyone who is part of that training program in Adobe Stock is also compensated accordingly.

Take a second and calm down. Stop treating the Adobe employees who obviously had no part in the decision making or (mis)communication of this like trash. I'm super disgusted by some of the stories I've heard already, y'all are better than that.

While we're 95% a @Figma team, we do still use @Adobe software for a few things and we were alarmed at first by the wording of everything. I feel comforted having talked to folks that those fears and concerns were simply a misunderstanding based on some bad decisions with communication. I get that folks may be blinded by rage or simply upset over the initial issue and won't take the time to understand or realize it's ok and everything will be alright. I hope folks don't gloss over the first news and give this a chance to be ok in the end.

@KQEDForum Something no one is talking about is the cost of each health insurance and utilities. Every individual and small business especially, is suffering from the domino effect of these costs. Mine have grown 300% and 200% in 10 years. Why is no one addressing these?

@ZLINEKitchen Buyer beware. My oven was just recalled for carbon monoxide poisoning 2 years after the fact. They are volunteering to pick it up after I find and pay someone to uninstall it. The oven also arrived damaged such that heat has not been cooking properly. Buyer beware.

@ZLINEKitchen Beware Zline buyers. My oven was just recalled. After operating for 2 years it was recalled for carbon monoxide poisoning. Zline is not covering uninstallation or retailer taxes. The oven doors arrived damaged such that the oven was leaking heat, not cooking evenly.

@ZaReviewho For anyone purchasing Zline...beware. The oven I purchased 2 years ago has been recalled due to carbon monoxide poisoning. They are not refunding uninstallation fees or covering the sales tax charged by the retailer. Buyer beware.

@DrHSmithReports Thank you. Zline is refunding me for my oven but charging me for uninstallation and excluding the taxes - which they say were charged by the retailer. I'd add that my oven doors arrived damaged and were leaking heat. Beware of this brand.
