I spent too much time running a regression model in Claude this morning. Here is how it works:
Step 1 — Calculate your Score:
Score ≈ (PPG × 0.35) + (RPG × 0.81) + (APG × 0.58) + (SPG × 0.36) + (BPG × 0.97)
Step 2 — Convert Score to Wins:
Wins ≈ (Score × 0.796) − 6.57
R² = 0.993 — this model explains 99.3% of the variance across all 13 teams. It's essentially exact.
🥇 Wilt is mandatory — his 25.1 RPG × 0.81 = 20.3 pts of score from rebounds alone. No one else comes close.
🥈 Prioritize big men with high RPG and BPG over scorers every single time
🥉 APG matters — target one elite playmaker (Magic, Oscar, LeBron) for the 0.58 multiplier
🚫 Stop chasing PPG — a 30 PPG scorer adds only ~10.5 score pts vs a 12 RPG big who adds ~9.7. They're nearly equivalent, and bigs usually do both.
Use skips to avoid eras where only guards/scorers are available
Ideal non-Wilt pick priority: High RPG+BPG big > High APG playmaker > High PPG scorer
What’s really remarkable is that we are draining about 80% of each of those SPR caverns PER WEEK in US, per week! In overall, we have about 62 caverns or so with 11.2M bbl each -in aggregate draining at the rate of 9MM/week. Unprecedented numbers. About 33 full caverns left or so…31 weeks til’ New Year, congressional approvals in about 10 weeks or so will be required… could be wrong on the exact date as its volumes sensitive. Trump has the authority to keep draining. 🫡🪒
