Four Australian women have been killed in four days by men known to them.

This is heartbreaking. My thoughts are with the families, friends, and communities grieving the loss of loved ones.

Back in January I called for a Royal Commission into family and domestic violence. We cant continue to accept this level of violence against women.

A Royal Commission is the most comprehensive, transparent and credible way to uncover systemic failures, identify what is and isn't working, and ensure victim-survivors are not re-traumatised by the very institutions meant to protect them. We need governments to treat family and domestic violence like the national crisis it is, and to act.
