I built a multiplayer embroidery sampler for the internet. It's called Common Thread. 🪡

Built the entire thing in @Figma Make, first thing I've ever vibecoded with it.

Every visitor gets a patch on a shared canvas. You pick a thread color, choose a stitch type, and craft your art.

A sampler is a piece of fabric where you practice and collect different stitches — a reference guide and playground in one. They were meant to be passed between hands and added to over time.

Common Thread is that, but the fabric is infinite, the UI is whimsical, and the hands are anonymous.

The part I love most: you can snap any section with a draggable embroidery hoop and export it, framed.

i love how Figma Make is a kind of tool that lets you focus on what something should feel like, not how to ship it.

@STOPFLEXIN I was 13 when I first got catcalled. I was riding my bike in shorts in the summer. Whole group of grown men in a car driving by decided to slow down and tell me I was sexy and "offered me a ride." I told them to kill themselves and turned down an alley so they couldn't follow me.

@ThisDonche @ABC The smoke got all the way too the upper floors and was in the stairwell. Smoke damage is no small thing and the whole building, including the apartments on the upper floors won't be habitable until it's all ripped out and repaired. Or knocked down and rebuilt.

How do you actually report a sophisticated scam on @LinkedIn? As in, describe the situation to a human being and not just press a report button and get automated messages back telling you they found nothing? @LinkedInHelp

I applied to this job through LinkedIn's job board. The real company these scammers are spoofing has a real LinedIn profile not associated with the one the scammers are posting jobs through. Is there zero vetting for this sort of thing?

The "senior recruiter" doesn't exist and is using a gmail. The semi-official looking email addresses they use are forwarding addresses and the domain isn't actually associated with the real company.
