Kenyans are awake now.

This KSh458 million diesel tender for Kenya Power has once again shown how, for many years, the system has been controlled by a few people serving their own interests. Rubis challenged the award, the board made its ruling—but the big question still remains: who has really been benefiting from these deals?

We said it before, and we can say it again—under Uhuru Kenyatta’s leadership, too many decisions seemed to protect personal and political interests instead of putting ordinary Kenyans first. While wananchi were struggling with the high cost of living, others were busy securing deals behind closed doors.

This is not the time for politics as usual. Kenyans want transparency, fairness in public tenders, and leaders who work for the people—not for friends, business networks, or political insiders.

Kenya belongs to wananchi, and wananchi are watching.
