Today, I must bring to the attention of all Nigerians an alarming act of political intimidation. As the NDC candidate for Surulere 1, alongside Mr. Peter Obi and other NDC supporters, I was dismayed to see over 50 of my big campaign banners removed by the APC-led Lagos State Signage LASAA. This was carried in their truck with security escorts. These banners, placed in public spaces, were taken down while APC banners remained intact.
Their spokesperson of the LASAA told me that the poles were lagos government property and it has been assigned to “ Outdoor Practitioners”
They claim to take it Alausa, only for me to discover this evening that my banners are hidden somewhere in the surulere Local Government Area in onilegogoro
I ask: what right does the signage agency have to silence us during this crucial election season? INEC has lifted all bans to ensure free campaigning, and we will not accept this bullying. Meanwhile, Barakat,s banner is still intact , Fuad,s posters are all over the place
I call on all Nigerians to see what the APC government is doing to us and to question why they fear a fair contest.
I also call on the national leadership of the NDC to investigate this intimidation and demand that APC stop this bullying of opposition parties.
These are my banners they carried
Meanwhile these “Signage abusers of office left all the APC banners alone
Signed,
Dr. Adefolaseye Adebomi Adebayo
NDC, House of Reps, Surulere 1.
SUSPECTED THUGS INVADE RIVERS HOTEL, DISRUPTS ARISE NEWS LIVE INTERVIEW
Suspected political thugs have invaded Londa Hotel in the Orazi axis of Obio/Akpor local government area of Rivers State on Friday night disrupting Arise News live interview.
The Arise TV crew were having the live interview with former Commissioner for Employment Generation and Empowerment, Dr Leloonu Nwibubasa at the hotel when the assailants stormed the hotel.
Nwibubasa was speaking on the political situation in the state at the time.
Eye witnesses said the thugs who were armed broke into rooms around 9:15pm, looking for both the former Commissioner and the Arise Camera man.
They were chanting in their local language, forcing doors open and seizing people's phones. Workers in the hotel started running helter-skelter for fear of been attacked.
The assailants later got to the spot where the interview was holding and started threatening the former commissioner and the Arise crew to discontinue the interview and forced them to stop.
The Arise crew was forced to make a distress to their colleague who immediately alerted the police before dashing to the hotel.
Already, the police have taken the statements of all those involved.
The political thugs seized a Sonny Canada Zed 280, industrial tripod, wireless microphone and other accessories.
Ironically, the Arise News TV crew had earlier Friday covered an event by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Woke in Omoku in Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni local government area.
Already, Dr Nwibubasa has condemned the attack, saying the development is not healthy in a democracy.

Shutdown Rivers Assembly. Declare State of Emergency in Rivers State - Obasanjo Visits SIM Fubara
Withdraw security personnel from all Rivers Assembly members. Shut down NNPC, shut down NDDC, and dismantle any forces that may rise against you.
You are the governor, elected by the people. You are the Chief Security Officer of Rivers State. What you order stands—neither Tinubu nor Wike put you in power. Demolish any hall or arena set to host your impeachment. Tinubu needs Rivers votes to win the 2027 election, and you stand in his way.
Stop playing U.S. politics in a country like this—there is no law here, everything is lawless.
Obasanjo Visits Sim Fubara, Advises Him on How to Handle Wike and Tinubu.
To all the Good People of Rivers State, I send this Quote of Wael Ghonim with solidarity and kindness:
The Power of the People is greater than the People in Power. ✍🏾✍🏾✍🏾
