@maceskridge @jasondebolt @QasimRashid As a tradesman I would never tell my kids to work the trades unless they absolutely want to. 99% of trades jobs are grunt/dead end jobs with little room for promotion/raises. Go to college, get into a STEM field....so many more options and potential for growth...plus higher wages

This is a straw man argument. No one is saying NO BLACK PERSON can succeed in a merit-based system. The argument is that it is much harder for a black personal to overcome historic and systemic injustice and succeed - a concept a small child could understand if they weren’t trying so hard to own libs.

It’s a Boys and Girls Club summer club so it’s free child care all day. But since it’s free they don’t have to deal with the “difficult” kids. They just remove them. Then what? I won’t be able to go to work. Then my kid thinks he’s broken or wrong. I’m struggling.

The lack of help and resources and care for my son’s ADHD/anxiety is killing me. I have been on a wait list just for an evaluation since March. They said the wait to even get an appointment is til September. Meanwhile he’s thisclose to being kicked out of the summer day care.
