Software Architect/.NET dev w/ a thing for the inner workings of ALL things. I like travel, diy and sci-fi, love my wife and dogs. Here I mostly talk about tech
@rschu I don't have all of mine, but the first and the last one I still do: An LG Optimus 7 and a Nokia 930. As ab bonus, I also still have my first smart device (from before the smartphones era), a DELL Axim X50v. The Dell and the Nokia still "work". The LG doesn't power on. I miss WP
As of this week, the ability to animate entry effects for elements like dialog and popover is now in every browser engine!
This leverages the starting-style at-rule and transition-behavior which became Baseline with Firefox 129.

(Exit effects are still only in Chrome at this time, but I hope will land cross-browser next. See article for more)
@blowdart@hughhowey I just finished listening to the audiobook of Wool yesterday and today I started Shift, in preparation for the series. This is the 3rd time I listen to this series. It can't come soon enough...
Trying to see something.
If you’re a man, and you can understand why a woman would be upset about deepfake porn being sold of her non-consensually, can you RT?
Restore my faith in humanity 🙏🏻
@LocalJoost@BenThePCGuy I really liked how it was easier to use it facing the inside of your wrist instead of the outside, because of the sideways tall screen. But battery life was terrible.
A similar concept with today's tech would be awesome, even better if windows phone still existed.
@LocalJoost@BenThePCGuy I really liked the band. I had a band2 that stopped working when the wristband split. It was a known flaw it had, but I couldn't have it switched because it wasn't sold in Brazil and a few months later when I went to the US it had already been discontinued.
Finally found the device that can determine supported charging technologies on USB-C and read the eMarkers on USB-C cables.
Time to get rid of all the broken cables.
@Pete_Brown So cool. I liked seeing the Puddle Jumper and the Rocinante in perspective. Getting back to the "astronaut" from time to time in order not to loose scale was very nice too.
@LeaVerou Brazil is kind of in the ball park, but France should be closer to the top and the US at the very least 15 position lower. People probably voted based on nationalism, not how good the cousine is.
@timheuer I use Android, but the wife uses iPhone. Sometimes I think if I should switch, but both have their pros and cons.
I wish there was an open protocol for air tags like devices and it became standard on all mobile devices
@timheuer Our luggage was misplaced coming to New Zealand in our current vacation. It took them 2 days to find and bring it here. It would be another day I we had not gone to the airport in person both days. Never again. I bought a 4 pack of air tags. They'll live in our bags from now on.

@elhipernauta@davidfowl@wes_walke I've had to do it (disable) on file level before when migrating some old code in a hurry. Later in the sprint the code was cleaned up, before the PR. I just wanted to be sure the rest of the code didn't have warnings before dealing with the migrated part (that I knew worked)
