We have conducted 2 workshops on IHL in Port Sudan. The first workshop with Sudan National Commission of IHL, the second with the attorneys of the Public Prosecution.
IHL protects persons who are not, or are no longer, directly or actively participating in hostilities.

"On our journey out of #Khartoum, we sought refuge in makeshift shelters amidst the debris to shield ourselves from the shelling," said Samah Al-Tayeb.

Samah is one of the 18,600 people displaced in Kassala State, who have been provided with the ICRC’s food and cash assistance.

In response to the essential needs of conflict-affected people in #Sudan.

The ICRC has started distributing food and cash assistance for 2,800 displaced families in Kassala, coming from the different states affected by the conflict.

The ICRC has donated five Land Cruisers to the Federal Ministry of Health (FMoH) in #Sudan.

These vehicles will contribute to enhancing the FMoH’s emergency response capabilities of first-aid services by serving as ambulances.
