@CWiebrecht@DjsokeSpeaking There would not have been a tie-breaking vote by the VP. At 50-50 Schumer’s motion would automatically have failed since he needed a majority vote for it to pass.
@Acabrockyy Why would the VP cast a vote when Schumer’s motion would have already failed on the tie vote. Would you expect him to vote with the Dems so that the motion would pass?
@rgoodlaw@danspence2006 Curious about the fact that the order did not authorise or suggest that the defendants in the case could file opposition only the plaintiffs.
@marceelias@drdoodlie1994 While there may be many issues with this, the proposed rule does not seem to require any kind of federal registration for voters, rather requires states to tell USPS that the people they are sending ballots to are in fact properly registered under state law.
@MacFarlaneNews@StaceArey And in the Keepseagle case, the Court approved the settlement and the creation of the fund. Here Trump has dismissed the case With Prejudice thus no Court approval.
@emptywheel@DAGToddBlanche Todd justifies this fund based on the Keepseagle case, but there the court approved the settlement and the creation of the fund, here Trump has dismissed the case with prejudice thus no court approval. I suspect there will be litigation over this.
@Guffy1951@VinnysCorner1 Young touchdown when he threw with his knees on the ground, Bush fumbled lateral, last time out called for no reason as TX was going for the 2pt conversion.
