BREAKING: The U.S. is allowing Iran to immediately resume oil and fuel sales as part of the deal to end the war, per the WSJ.
The sanctions waivers would kick in right away and also cover banking, shipping, and insurance needed to support those sales.
So Iran gets billions in economic relief on day one, before giving up much of anything in return.
The worst deal EVER
This is insane. AFTER the IAEA verified Iran's compliance and 97% of its enriched uranium stockpile was shipped out, Obama's JCPOA unfroze ~$100B in Iran's own frozen assets abroad.
What JD Vance is discussing now is a separate proposed $300B "reconstruction/investment fund" — so not just sanctions relief, not just unfrozen assets, but NEW international money for postwar rebuilding. This is a disaster.
The US secretly approved a financial and maritime arrangement between Qatar and Iran, under which billions of dollars were paid to Tehran in exchange for free passage for Qatari tankers and ships through the Strait of Hormuz, three diplomatic officials now confirm.
This was a deliberate and conscious course of action by the US administration, which allowed its navy to turn a blind eye to the arrangement, in complete contradiction of its declared policy. The move was intended to ease the crisis in global energy markets and curb rising oil prices.

BREAKING: In a SCATHING statement, Major General (Ret.) Paul Eaton just called out Donald Trump's War In Iran for what it is: a complete and utter FAILURE.
Um: preamble to 2015 JCPOA that Trump tore up: "Iran reaffirms that under no circumstances will Iran ever seek, develop, or acquire any nuclear weapons." Literally the same.
This is insane. The admin claims to have a document that has been signed by both governments and Trump hasn’t even shared it with the Senate Majority Leader — from his own party!
BREAKING: In a stunning moment on Fox News, Bret Baier and Fox's News correspondent admit that Donald Trump is not telling the truth when he says Iran's military, Navy and IRGC have been completely destroyed. Things must be awful if Trump is losing Fox like this.
Stephen Miller wants to flip a switch and erase one of your oldest rights.
It’s called habeas corpus.
Fancy words but a simple idea that the government can’t just grab you and lock you away. It has to prove to a judge why you’re behind bars. That right is 800 years old.
It’s older than America itself.
And Miller tried to kill it.
New reporting confirms it. Inside the White House, Miller pushed to suspend habeas corpus so agents could seize people, detain them, and deport them with no judge, no hearing, no chance to say “you’ve got the wrong guy.”
Even Trump’s own lawyers put in writing that this is illegal. Miller pushed anyway.
Miller screams “invasion” because the Constitution only allows this sort of thing during an invasion. But this same crowd brags every day that border crossings hit record lows. So which is it?
The right to challenge your own detention is the line between a republic and a regime. Lose it, and the government can disappear anyone.
I will fight this with everything I have.
The Constitution is not optional.
Not for Stephen Miller. Not for anyone.

Hey @Jim_Jordan and @freedomcaucus just checking in to see if the same idea applies? You wanted to see the side car agreement from Obama and opposed the money he gave Iran. How is that today?
This is NEWS.
1. Obama: $1.7B in unfrozen assets/cash for 98% reduction in uranium & limit enrichment to 3.7%
2. Trump: $24B in unfrozen assets/cash, $300B reconstruction fund, lifted sanctions in exchange for opened Strait under Iran/Oman control
-From @TheMaineWonk
It really fundamentally boils down to this. @JDVance gave 2 reasons this morning why MoU deal is “great” for American people.
1/ strait of Hormuz is reopening.
Was open on Feb 28th
2/ Iran commits in LT to no nuke weapon. A promise Iran long made with dubious follow through.
I’ve defended the administration’s America 250 plans, because I trusted they really would be non partisan, really would bring us together. But I was wrong. And it sucks. I also apologize to the musical acts who dropped out who I criticized. They saw it.
BREAKING: JD Vance confirms that Iran could gain access to a $300 billion reconstruction fund:
“That’s the sort of thing they could have access to, so long as they honor their end of the obligation.”
