@LNER and the Passion fruit and lemon tart for dessert finished it off nicely. Train only a few mins late as well after big problems with damage to overhead cables. The LNER staff deserve a bonus for getting it all sorted.

A new complimentary 1st Class Signature Menu on this evening 's @LNER train home to Leeds from King's Cross. Tried the Chicken supreme, scalloped potatoes, Tender stem broccoli and a white wine sauce. It was superb.

Excellent service as always in 1st Class on the @LNER train back to Leeds this week. A great menu and lovely staff. I see that the 1st Class Lounge at King's Cross is due to reopen next week. I'm certainly very glad my weekly trip down to London is with LNER.

My 17:08 train back to Leeds from London was packed this evening as the previous train had been cancelled. But it arrived on time and still got the complimentary food in 1st Class. The Chicken Tagine on the new Winter Dish Menu is rather good. Well done @LNER .

As it's Burns Night this weekend, @LNER have replaced the Woodland Mushroom & Ale Pie offering on the 1st Class Winter Menu with Haggis Pie. It was braw.

Nooooo! The @LNER 1st Class Lounge at King's Cross is shutting for a few weeks for refurbishment. I'll miss the pre-trip muffins and Penn State Baked Pretzels. Hope there are no delays.
