In 457 BC, King Artaxerxes issued the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem, marking the beginning of the 70-week prophecy.
In AD 27, Jesus was baptized, anointed by the Holy Spirit, and began His public ministry at approximately 30 years of age.
In AD 31, Jesus was crucified in the middle of the seventieth prophetic week.
In AD 34, the 490-year prophecy came to its conclusion, marking the end of the period especially allotted to Israel.
In AD 1844, the 2,300-year prophecy of Daniel 8:14 reached its fulfillment, marking the beginning of the final phase of Christ's ministry in the heavenly sanctuary.
Based on Masoretic Text calculation 2027 will mark approximately 6,000 years since creation.
Unity will cause many to receive the Mark of the Beast. The Bible does not teach us to go along simply to get along. It calls for unity in truth. Unity at the expense of truth is not unity at all. Let us not forget that a third of the angels in heaven united with Satan against God. Unity over obedience to the Word of God never works. Iron and clay do not mix.
My prediction: the pope is going to broker a peace deal between Russia and the Ukraine and all the world will begin to see and regard him as the moral 'savor' of humanity. Prophecy is being fulfilled.
I hope you can make time to listen in to this today. I have asked God to give those who do, an extra measure of blessings and healing. Prove me now says the Lord of hosts!

COLOSSIANS 2:16
Colossians 2:16 is one of the most quoted verses people use against the Sabbath. Yet, Paul was not talking about the weekly Sabbath from the Ten Commandments.
Paul said:
“Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days” [Colossians 2:16].
Some people see the word sabbath and immediately think Paul is talking about the seventh day Sabbath. But he is not. The seventh day Sabbath is not what the passage is about at all.
Paul lists:
1. Holyday
2. New moon
3. Sabbaths
This order is shown many times in the Old Testament. It is a common Hebrew way of describing the ceremonial feast system tied to the sanctuary.
Example:
“Burnt offerings unto the Lord in the sabbaths, in the new moons, and on the solemn feasts” [1 Chronicles 23:31].
“For the burnt offerings of the sabbaths, the new moons, and the set feasts”
[2 Chronicles 2:4].
“The sabbaths, the new moons, and the solemn feasts” [Ezekiel 45:17].
It is the same pattern every time. These were ceremonial worship days connected to Israel’s feast calendar, not the weekly Sabbath of the Ten Commandments.
The Bible actually had two kinds of Sabbaths.
1. The weekly Sabbath.
2. The annual sabbaths.
The weekly Sabbath came from Creation itself. God rested on the seventh day, blessed it, and made it holy [Genesis 2:2–3]. Later it was codified and placed directly inside the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:8–11). It was not part of the sacrificial system. It existed long before Israel ever became a nation.
However, the ceremonial Sabbaths were different. They were special yearly festival days connected to the sanctuary and sacrifices. Days like the Day of Atonement, the first day of Unleavened Bread, and others. These were called sabbaths because people rested on them, but they did not always fall on the seventh day of the week.
Leviticus explains it. Leviticus said:
“These are the feasts of the Lord… beside the sabbaths of the Lord”
[Leviticus 23:37–38].
Leviticus separated the feasts from the Lord’s Sabbath. That means they are not the same thing.
Paul explained why those ceremonial days are no longer binding. Right after Colossians 2:16 he says they were “a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ” [Colossians 2:17].
The feast days pointed forward to Jesus and His work of salvation. They were symbols. Once Christ came and fulfilled those symbols, the shadow was no longer needed.
The weekly Sabbath was never a shadow of the cross. It points back to Creation, not forward to Calvary.
If Paul were saying the Ten Commandments Sabbath was abolished, he would be contradicting Jesus. Jesus said: “The Sabbath was made for man” [Mark 2:27]. The Sabbath was not just for Jews, but for mankind (anthropos). Anthropos does not mean Jew, it means human being, mankind, humanity in general.
The Bible, also says Jesus Himself kept it.
“As His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day”
[Luke 4:16].
Another important point. If you read the weekly Sabbath commandment [fourth command], food and drink are not even mentioned, at all.
“Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy… the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work” [Exodus 20:8–10].
The command is about rest, and not about diet. Read it again. Nothing is said about meat, drink, offerings, or ceremonies. The command just says stop working, worship, focus and remembering that God created the world. Compare that with Colossians 2:16.
“Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days.”
The difference ought to be obvious. Paul is talking about things connected to food, drink, and festival observances. Those were part of the ceremonial system tied to the sanctuary and sacrifices.
The weekly Sabbath in the Ten Commandments has nothing to do with food or drink regulations. If Paul were talking about the fourth commandment, why would he connect it to meat and drink laws that are never mentioned in the Sabbath command itself?
Paul was obviously talking about the ceremonial feast system, which included special [annual] sabbath days tied to sacrifices and ritual observances. The weekly Sabbath is different. It comes from Creation, it is written in the Ten Commandments, and it is about resting in honor of the Creator.
Therefore, Colossians 2:16 is not removing God’s seventh day Sabbath. Paul is talking about the ceremonial feast Sabbaths that were tied to sacrifices and temple rituals. Those were shadows that pointed to Christ. The weekly Sabbath is different. It was established at Creation, written by God’s own finger in the Ten Commandments, and kept by Jesus Himself.
The 144,000 in Revelation.
The 144,000 is mainly mentioned in two places in the Bible. In Revelation 7:1-8 and Revelation 14:1-5. Reading these two passages carefully, shows a few things:
1. They are sealed by God.
2. They stand faithful during a time of judgment.
3. They belong fully to God and to the Lamb [Jesus].
4. They are pure in character and,
5. They are called the “first-fruits” to God.
Taking this step by step:
1. The first time we see the 144,000 is in Revelation chapter 7. This happens between the opening of the sixth and seventh seals. The world is going through trouble and judgment.
Revelation says:
“After these things I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree. Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, saying, ‘Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.’ And I heard the number of those who were sealed. One hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed”
[Revelation 7:1-4].
Therefore, before the final judgments fall, God marks His people. They receive His seal on their foreheads. The passage also says the 144,000 come from the twelve tribes of Israel, twelve thousand from each tribe.
2. The seal shows that these people belong to God and are under His protection.
The passage says:
“Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, saying, ‘Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads’” [Revelation 7:2-3].
Marking people is mentioned before in the OT. It says in Ezekiel 9:4:
“and the Lord said to him, ‘Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and cry over all the abominations that are done within it.’”
In Ezekiel’s vision, the people who hated sin and stayed loyal to God were marked for protection. Revelation shows the same. God knows who truly belongs to Him.
3. The 144,000 represent spiritual Israel. In other words, faithful believers who follow Christ.
Paul explained that being a true Jew is not just about family background. It is about the heart.
“For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God”
[Romans 2:28 to 29].
In the NT, God’s people are those who truly belong to Him in their hearts.
4. Revelation 14 gives more detail about these people.
“Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father’s name written on their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of loud thunder. And I heard the sound of harpists playing their harps. They sang as it were a new song before the throne, before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one could learn that song except the hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth. These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being first-fruits to God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no deceit, for they are without fault before the throne of God”
[Revelation 14:1 to 5].
From this passage we see several things:
1. The Father’s name on their foreheads.
2. They belong to God. Their loyalty is clear.
3. They sing a new song.
Only they can sing it. Because:
1. Their experience with God is unique.
2. They are spiritually pure.
3. Virgins points to purity and faithfulness to Christ.
4. They follow the Lamb.
5. Wherever Jesus leads, they go. No compromise.
3. They are called first-fruits
This shows that they are a special group dedicated to God.
A. No deceit in their mouth.
B. They are honest and faithful.
C. They stand without fault before God.
5. The Role in the Last Days.
The 144,000 shows up during the final events of earth’s history. Revelation asks an important question:
“For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand”
[Revelation 6:17]?
Then, in the next chapter, Revelation provides the answer. A. The 144,000 are able to stand. B. They stay faithful while the world is shaking.
The Bible says again:
“These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being first-fruits to God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no deceit, for they are without fault before the throne of God”
[Revelation 14:4-5].
6. The 144,000 are not the only people saved in the end. Right after the sealing, Revelation shows another group.
“After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands”
[Revelation 7:9].
God uses the 144,000 in the last days to help bring this great multitude to Him.
Something similar happened in the early church. God poured out His Spirit on the apostles and the believers gathered together. Thousands came to Christ. It ends the say it started.
The Bible also says God will pour out His Spirit again in the last days.
“Be glad then, you children of Zion, And rejoice in the Lord your God; For He has given you the former rain faithfully, And He will cause the rain to come down for you— The former rain, And the latter rain in the first month”
[Joel 2:23].
7. The 144,000 is not just about prophecy. It also speaks to how believers should live.
Peter said: “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light”
[1 Peter 2:9].
God calls His people to live differently. To live holy lives. To stay loyal to Him.
Jesus also gave the same promise:
“Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth”
[Revelation 3:10].
God protects those who stay faithful to him.
The 144,000 are described as a special group of believers who stay faithful to God during the final crisis on earth. They have His seal, they follow Jesus fully, and they stand strong when the world is under judgment. These souls are loyal, honest, and fully devoted to Him.
My sister @AWalkWithGod2 made a profound observation, that people tend to skirt over. The Son of God, left alone to defend Himself against the shenanigans of Satan used the Book of Deuteronomy to shut Satan down.
You know what really hits me when I think about this? That in His physically weakest moment, Jesus used the WORD to shut down temptation, and that Jesus answered Satan straight out of Deuteronomy. To me, that is huge. The Son of God pushes back temptation by quoting from the very book that lays out God’s law. Deuteronomy is a Commandment Book. Did you know that? That alone tells you how serious God is about His law, and how powerful that law really is. An entire BOOK, and He used it to rebuke Satan!
Deuteronomy is literally called the “second law.” Not because God handed down something new, but because Moses repeats the same divine truth for people who are starting a whole new chapter in life and need to hear it again.
Think about that the next time you read the words Jesus said when He told the disciples, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another” (John 13:34).
He was referring the ten commandments that Moses had already taught.
“You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart” (Deut. 6:5).
God calls His people to walk in His ways and love Him (Deut. 10:12, 11:1).
Love for others flows out of that loyalty to God (Deut. 15, 24).
Christ was calling them to live out same love taught in Deuteronomy, only do it now they way He revealed perfectly through His own life and sacrifice.
Praise God! That is what makes the book so beautiful. When tempted by Satan, do as Jesus did. Quote Scripture.
