@tmoorse @lizpatanders I wasn't in a public library, but I also (just recently) followed my data and database skills out of the library world. Even with regular hours and holidays, I still had to contend with vocational awe and the normalization of carrying multiple jobs worth of work for minimal pay.

@richardcobbett @JimSterling The funny thing is, that's a good sign! ADHD folks react differently to stimulants - they tend to calm us down. In some people's cases (though not mine) taking them close to bedtime can help us sleep.

@ADHDucky I wonder if object permanence could also be related to a sense of self overall? I'm very aware of other people, but I tend not to be aware of myself as a physical presence, in part maybe because I don't see myself as often as I see others. Especially in-person (vs, say, Zoom).

@ADHDucky That's it exactly! And I know I'm not face blind. My husband is, but I have a good memory for other people's faces. Maybe it's related to object permanence? Like, I see purple hair me every day. That's Me. But blue hair me was a while ago and doesn't immediately click as Me.
