Derek Chauvin had the luxury to tell his side of the story. George Floyd and countless other men and women within the Black community never had that luxury.

because for 4 years hateful and ignorant people had a man in power telling them that their hate is validated.. all while spewing racially insensitive, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic (shall I go on?) shit. how do you expect that to be reversed in a matter of months? come on.
Our hearts are heavy over yet another shooting of a Black man, Daunte Wright, at the hands of police. It’s important to conduct a full and transparent investigation, but this is also a reminder of just how badly we need to reimagine policing and public safety in this country.
When people rioted and looted in Minneapolis after the murder of George Floyd, President Trump said: "When the looting starts, the shooting starts."
When his supporters rioted and looted in the U.S. Capitol, President Trump said: "Go home. We love you, you're very special."
There is absolutely no fucking excuse.
These people walked into the capitol like it was their own homes, when black and brown people have literally been shot and murdered in their own beds?
WAKE THE FUCK UP AMERICA

The fires across the West Coast are just the latest examples of the very real ways our changing climate is changing our communities. Protecting our planet is on the ballot. Vote like your life depends on it—because it does.
They want peaceful protest, but aint too worried about peaceful policing. They’ll lecture you about “fighting violence with violence” but that’s literally their idea of “good policing” .
Police fire tear gas into a peaceful protest of George Floyd’s murder but stood like the goddamn Queen’s Guard when white assholes w guns storm the state capitol protesting HAVING 2 WEAR A MASK IN A PANDEMIC. We live in 2 America’s & if this doesn’t make it clear ur a dummy
As a white person, I am fucking embarrassed that white people want to make excuses for why an innocent black man is dead. There isn’t one. There hasn’t been one.
Violent protests might not be the answer, but what do you expect to happen when peaceful means aren’t working either?
I’m not black, but I see you.
I’m not black, but I hear you.
I’m not black, but I mourn with you.
I’m not black, but I see the injustice.
I’m not black, but I see your fear.
I’m not black, but I will stand with you.
I’m not black, but black lives matter. #GeorgeFloyd#BLM
