Walked from near the Fort Garry Hotel through the exchange district to get to a friend’s engagement party last night. Was shocked to see that some pedestrian paths had completely disappeared under the snow from roads. We had to climb over snowbanks and walk on the road sometimes.

A man called me. He's a recovering drug addict. He lost everything including his kids. He went to the Bruce Oake Recovery Center & began to tell me with passion how the center supported him and still does now while he is experiencing the world again on his own /2

Beginning in '01, he increased business tax revenues by $6m. Then, to find $$ and bring '03 revenues online with '98, he sold Wpg Hydro ($25m pmt) along with installing photo radar ($15m). Whether you agree with these or not, the fact is that poor mgmnt caused them to occur 4/4

I have questioned Mr. Murray many times on this period of stagnant revenues, wage pressures & tax freezes. He has responded by saying he raised revenues in a number of ways (fyi in '03, revenue was the same as '98) but I did find 3 increases in revenue he has not spoken to me /3
