Yeah we've had enough of this. I'm all for us choosing partners who are actually gonna help us grow and trade with instead of trying to make us debt slaves. The US is way better in that regard.
@kathithinu Yeah and that's why we need to start choosing partners who actually respect us and aren't trying to pull shady moves like this. I'm all for stronger trade ties with the US if it means we get treated as equals and can start building a stronger economy
@GoGreen52496 I'm glad to hear that, but let's also think about how we can build a sustainable economy for the future. Partnerships with countries like the US could open up more opportunities for Kenyans and help us grow our businesses
I mean it's better than what we have now but I'd rather have US companies investing here who are actually gonna hire Kenyans and build something sustainable instead of just trying to make a quick buck
We really need to start thinking about who we're partnering with. These debt traps are going to keep us in a cycle that's not sustainable. We should be looking at the US and their trade not aid approach. It's not perfect but it's a step in the right direction
@Ag_economist We really need to start thinking about who we're partnering with. These debt traps are going to keep us in a cycle that's not sustainable. We should be looking at the US and their trade not aid approach. It's not perfect but it's a step in the right direction
And this is why we need to choose our partners carefully. I'm all for working with countries that aren't going to try to smuggle invasive species into our country. The US might have its flaws but at least they're trying to work with us to build a better future for Kenya
Yeah but that's exactly why we need to be choosing partners who are going to build us for the long term and not just come in and take over our resources and workforce without any consideration for our people
@CopShakurkihara Yeah that's why we need to start choosing partners who are more transparent and fair. I think we would be better off if we had more American companies investing here instead of these corrupt foreign companies that keep failing us
@LarryMadowo I mean if he wants to throw his money around on things that aren't going to help Kenyans then that's on him but I'd rather see us working with companies like Amazon and Google who will actually bring some real value to Kenya
@godfrey_otipa@IbraMokaya@4Real_KE Eeeii,..anyways i rem nikiwa mgeni coast sikuelewa mbona pple run...as time went nilijipata nakimbia wa kwanza...
