@lorxell Pretty sure it was explained that over chaining them reduced their size, and that magic dwindled in the world and as dragons are magic as did the magic required to hatch eggs. Hence why it was such a world changing miracle that Daenerys hatched three.

If this was a custom they would’ve gone to the actual king not a queen consort.

@groovin_goobin @MuseScene06 I didn’t say they couldn’t be Laenor’s kids, I think the show did a huge disservice to the entire story. However, GRRMs genetic inheritance is different to how we understand it in real life. All to say, Dragon Riding is not a Velaryon trait

@groovin_goobin @MuseScene06 House Velaryon had Targaryen marriages before Rhaenys. So yes, even if Adam was actually intended to be Coryls’s son cannonically, he historically has Targaryen ancestors. Just like most of the dragon seeds. Dragon riding did not come from House Velaryon.

@groovin_goobin @MuseScene06 No they weren’t…they were only able to ride dragons bc of Rhaenys. A Targaryen. Laena and Laenor Velaryon were only dragon riders bc their Targaryen mother. That is not an inherit Velaryon trait.

Giving them your last name bc they’re your kids, makes them Velaryeon.
