Todellinen ongelma on siinä, että USA:n vaalijärjestelmä ei noudata eurooppalaista demokratiakäsitystä. Kaikkien ei halutakaan äänestävän (=voter supression), siksi osavaltioiden omat lait eivät noudata kansan enemmistön tahtoa ja demokratia ei toteudu.
