Elon Musk on Tesla Semi FSD:
"In the very near future, we'll be adding in the self-driving features. If somebody's on a long truck journey, they can engage the Tesla self-driving and greatly improve safety and comfort of driving, so that the driver arrives at the destination and still feels refreshed."
This will save so many lives. There are roughly 3,000 fatal crashes per year involving large trucks in the US. Many more injuries.
Once you ride in a Tesla Cybercab, I’m not exaggerating, it will ruin every car experience you’ve had before.
I’m already missing it. You feel so much more productive. The seats are like lounge chairs, you’re almost lying down rather than sitting upright. The screen is massive (it would be cool to watch sports on it). The whole experience is incredible.
This is without a doubt the future of transportation, and everything else will follow suit. I can’t wait until these are absolutely everywhere.
3,000 jobs is the number on paper. Elon says the real number will be way bigger.
SpaceX’s new Starbase Louisiana is a $100 billion project with 10 launch pads, its own propellant production, power generation, and enough land to scale properly.
Gwynne Shotwell thinks the job count could end up closer to 10,000, based on what happened at Starbase Texas.
This place is being built for serious Starship traffic, potentially 30+ launches a day.
Turns out a spaceport needs a small city around it.

A driverless taxi packed with software but bad Wi-Fi would be a very weird future.
Tesla’s first Cybercab now has Starlink built right into the body, with a flush-mounted V5 antenna hidden under the gold panel above the taillights.
While the car drives itself, you can chill.
Stream 4K sports and movies, game or work without relying on whatever cell signal happens to be nearby.
Cybercab stays connected for navigation and fleet management at the same time.
Autonomous ride. Proper internet. Makes sense.

Ron Baron, who I consider to be the GOAT of investing, is super bullish on SpaceX’s Starlink.
“Starlink is going to be the internet for the entire world.”
There are 8 billion people on Earth today, 3 billion still have no internet, and much of the other 5 billion still has poor or unreliable service. Also, Starlink has the ability to reach the places terrestrial networks can’t economically serve, like oceans, mountains, deserts, airplanes, basically anywhere on Earth.
These are Baron’s numbers:
• $15-17B revenue today
• $1 TRILLION in annual revenue within 10 years
• 20-25% consumer
• 40% government
• 40% enterprise
• $700–800B in annual profits/EBITDA
His conclusion is that he thinks “Starlink alone will be worth somewhere around $14 trillion.”
Meanwhile, the entire SpaceX company is valued at less than $2 trillion today…
And the real holy grail behind all this is reusable rockets.
SpaceX can launch, replace, and expand its satellite network at a cost competitors simply can’t match. That advantage compounds as the constellation gets larger, faster, and more capable.
Baron is calling SpaceX the most unique business he has seen in his entire 56-year career.
I agree.
Today’s SpaceX valuation is going to look absurdly cheap in hindsight.
Elon Musk shares major updates on @Starlink
“Starlink team has built from nothing, an entire global internet system.”
“It’s the first high bandwidth global internet system ever to exist.”
“Down the road, it’ll probably be, I think, the largest of all internet traffic on Starlink.”
“Almost 11,000 satellites in orbit.”
“That’s more than twice as many satellites as everyone else combined.”
“With the Starlink V3 and beyond, we’ll go to 100,000 satellites.”
“We’re now in 167 countries.”
“22 million mobile subscribers.”
“13 million high bandwidth subscribers.”
“Expect these numbers to increase by more than a factor of 10 over time.”
“Cloudflare just recently mentioned that based on the current growth, they think probably AI traffic will be 1,000 times more than human internet traffic in five years.”
“We’ve got Starshield, which has become a vital part of national security.”
“The Starshield team has done amazing work, and it is now a vital part of America’s national security.”
SpaceX & Tesla: "The initial phase of Terafab is estimated to require approximately $16.8 billion in capital investments from SpaceX and Tesla, with potential future expansion phases bringing total investment much higher. This facility will employ at least 3,000 people, many of whom will be from Grimes and nearby Brazos County — continuing the trend of our other Texas sites where between 60% and 80% of new hires are local residents."
SpaceX says that "by the end of 2028, @Starlink Mobile will have already rapidly upgraded the constellation by launching thousands more satellites, providing continuous full global coverage to become the first—and most likely the only—direct-to-device provider to offer true coverage in high-latitude polar regions," according to a new filing.
SpaceX added that Starlink Mobile will be able to provide its partners with life-saving data services by Q3 2027, with voice following within months.
All of these upgrades will be possible thanks to the company's next-generation Starlink Mobile V2 satellites, which will deliver 5G speeds from space with 100x the data density of the current V1 generation satellites.
NEWS: Morgan Stanley just initiated coverage on SpaceX with an Overweight rating, meaning it expects SpaceX to outperform most investments on Wall Street.
The bank sees 90% upside and believes SpaceX could generate over $3.3 trillion in annual revenue by 2040.
Happy 250th Anniversary to the greatest country in the world. Lest we forget, without America’s Veterans, America simply wouldn’t exist. All gave some. Some, gave all. God Bless America.
O say can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming,
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there;
O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave? 🇺🇸
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
To conclude that thought, if the US economy continues to pick up momentum—even booms—while inflation slips to 0-1% or below during the next few years, as we believe is likely, Kevin Warsh’s Fed will not stand in the way. The Fed is shifting from fighting growth to encouraging it.
Never in my 13 years living in DC have I seen this fountain on.
Honestly, I don’t think many Washingtonians thought it would ever come back, especially after last year’s protests.
It’s more beautiful than I expected.
