@StlMac_ My understanding is that since the replacement is for a DH, it had to be the next person in the player voting tally among DH. So, JJ wasn't really an option for this replacement.

Cal Raleigh has not been good this year, but he was still quite good after the All-star break last year (.859 OPS). Just not quite as good as he was in the first half. I think the HR derby is largely used as an excuse when players suffer from natural regression later in the season. Unless Walker has a bad second half. Then it was definitely the Derby's fault lol
