Like to get out and enjoy what we have in Washington. When not doing that, I do consulting, IT strategy, technology, software engineering management, prog mgmt
@seattleiscrazy@kedlinco@SnoqualmiePass@wspd6pio Drivers licenses are one thing, but Commercial DLs are not issued to non-documented drivers.
Also, this equipment very likely originated out of state, so WA licensing is not relevant.
@TrueOmega1618@SnoqualmiePass@wspd6pio This isn't a tanker truck; it's petroleum processing equipment headed to the Willow Project in Alaska. See the info printed on the back of the payload.
@kedlinco@SnoqualmiePass@wspd6pio This couldn't happen at a worse time, as any new concrete curing will need to wait for the right weather (typically sunny and dry)...while we're heading right into the cloudiest seasons.
@seattleiscrazy@kedlinco@SnoqualmiePass@wspd6pio Why? This was a commercial convoy, apparently carrying ConocoPhillips equipment to Alaska, with several other vehicles and pilot cars. The only relevant question is how this happened and how much their insurance will cover this.
@JohnKaster Yeah; they did a decent job in the first 1.75 quarters, then the wheels came off and the entire D imploded. Holding the Eagles to just 7 pts for so long was admirable, though.
In the AFC game, you can't feel any worse than that guy who did the late hit on the second-to-last play
@ScottSeattleWx@wx_washington My mom and uncle witnessed this first-hand and at least my (older) uncle has vivid memories of it, including the dog and owner trying to get off.
Their dad was based at Ft. Lewis and drove them over when they heard what was going on.
@magpiekilljoy This happens on a near daily basis on interstates out west in the winter, including I-90 just 40 miles east of Seattle. Yes, most people are better prepared, but the few that are not are the ones who usually cause the spinouts and accidents, contributing to road closures.
