@BackAftaThis@MichaelFFlorio I actually hope these games get monster ratings. It may help networks and sports leagues from putting too much more exclusively on streaming... especially playoffs
@IsaacWxObserver@bsamairag 2. Time zone adjustments might be a better first step. Having Maine and Indiana in the same timezone is sub optimal.
3. I'm not sure the comparisons to what happened in the 70s hold much water. Things are so much different now.
@IsaacWxObserver@bsamairag I'm with you. Time is all relative anyway. Misc considerations:
1. Time is inherently relative. Since COVID bars and restaurants are closing earlier. Fewer people are out at night. This happened without legislation
@DarrenJMeenan Even in past down years, I'd have almost every game on even if I wasn't actively watching it. But now, I only do that once or twice each week, and not even for the entire game. And honestly, I forgot about all those things since I'm much less engaged than I've been since my teens
@DocPunchESPN I didn't have any issues with Prime. I also liked the "clean" feed they had before 5pm going around the track. It was also enjoyable to hear Adam Alexander...forgot how good he was. And reminds me a little bit of you.
@TheRealMAP98@KyleTheRacinFan@philenespanol While it's something of a low chance, I wouldn't be surprised if Mike has some sort of role in this weekend's broadcast, even if it's minor, as he is the dean of NASCAR broadcasters.
@MetsBooth It's been dead from about 10 losses into the 12 game losing streak onward. The Clay Holmes news probably puts the nail in it for even the biggest optimist.
@SNY_Mets@jerryblevins@mmargaux8 Yes he was. However, execution appears to have been poor. Those guys weren't getting it done. But he jettisoned a lot of offense, where exactly was he planning on picking that up?
@sean_p_sullivan@DanBartels2 I'm not so sure he needs to be replaced. Can he really be blamed for Lindor not hitting along with his other lapses? Can he be blamed for the poor offense overall? While he shares blame, Stearns is just as deserving IMHO.
@Bilbo_Haggis@JomboyMedia He's been around for a long time, and has been bad for a long time. He seems to be getting worse, but perhaps it's because Angel Hernandez is finally gone, so there's no one worse any more.
@Kristin0323@KDJmedia1@NYSPHSAA Agreed. People forget what the P stands for. Now to get NYC and LI involved. Pretty crazy that the most populated parts of the state aren't represented in the state playoffs.
