The termination of TPS for Haiti is devastating and cruel.
To our TPS holders in the #MA7 and beyond, your humanity, dignity, and lives matter. And I'll do everything in my power to support you and your families.
My full statement:
❄️🚜 Over a five-day period, more than 3,353 loads of snow - totaling 51,946 cubic yards - have been removed from our city streets. Is the job done? Not yet. Large-scale snow removal resumes tonight at 10 PM. Pics below of crews clearing crosswalks & curb ramps in #SouthBoston.
Our crews have over 800 pieces of equipment working across the city. With heavy snow expected through Monday morning, the best thing residents can do to help is stay off the roads. Fewer vehicles improve safety for our equipment operators & first responders.
Let's be clear: The Senate Republican bill would take away health coverage and food assistance from millions of people who need it — all to pay for tax cuts for the wealthy.
Landlords, banks, tenants, & advocates all need to make our voices heard — Section 8 vouchers support the mortgages of many small landlords housing thousands of families whom we must not make homeless again. This program works; it deserves full funding.

Making her first congressional appearance, Boston Mayor Michelle Wu appeared at ease, confident enough to fire back at Republicans several times when she believed they were misstating the facts. https://t.co/V1g3Xmeh5k
To every one of my neighbors back in Boston, know this: You belong here. This is your home. Boston es tu hogar. Boston se lakay ou. 這是你的家.
This is our city.
We are the safest major city in the nation because we are safe for everyone.

Grateful for the @BHA_Boston team out & about since early this holiday morning clearing walkways for our residents! Thank you to all the essential @CityOfBoston workers cleaning up from last night’s storm.
Welcome to the world, Mira, now one of our littlest Bostonians! Congratulations to @wutrain and Conor and the whole family; grateful that all are healthy and well.
While the snow has stopped, the work continues today for our PWD crews responding to 311 cases & clearing crosswalks & pedestrian ramps throughout the @CityOfBoston. Pics below from #BrightonMA, #Charlestown & #Dorchester.
So proud of all the @BHA_Boston families who have used the First Home program to buy a house in Boston — TY @MayorWu and @BOSCityCouncil for your support!
Mayor Wu’s investments in homeownership have completely changed the game for hundreds of Boston homeowners, including 57 BHA families who received down payment assistance through the First Home program. It was great joining Damali Omolade and so many families to celebrate.
Today BHA joined @IBA_Boston and @MayorWu to cut the ribbon on 146 preserved, renovated units of affordable housing! Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible
"It all comes back to how we measure our gifts. The gift of fortune, he didn’t really have that so much. But the gift of grace — look at how well-loved he was. One can only wonder about our own priorities in life." https://t.co/ofNeNCBnq6 via @BostonGlobe
Thank you to everyone who participated in our event earlier at @BPC_Bipartisan! Your insights on improving housing affordability through collaboration across all levels of government were invaluable. #HousingAffordability
