🚨 🔵 Chelsea may have found the long-term partner for Levi Colwill... and hardly anyone is talking about him.

Chelsea's interest in Jacobo Ramón isn't about signing another young defender for the sake of it.

It's about finding a centre-back who naturally fits Xabi Alonso's football.

Standing at 1.95m, Ramón combines aerial dominance with composure in possession. Developed at Real Madrid before impressing at Como, he has shown he can play in both a back four and a back three.Two systems Alonso has used throughout his managerial career.

Chelsea's enquiry reportedly came during discussions involving Trevoh Chalobah, but there has been no formal move, with the Blues simply adding Ramón to a shortlist of defensive targets alongside other options.

If Chelsea do decide to push for the Spaniard, it won't just be because of his age or potential.

It will be because his profile mirrors exactly what Xabi Alonso demands from his central defenders: calm under pressure, progressive in possession, dominant in the air, and tactically flexible.

The question is no longer why Chelsea admire Jacobo Ramón.
