More options can feel like better service.
Let the client choose.
Give them every possibility.
Show them everything.
I've become much more comfortable doing something else:
Making a recommendation.
Not hiding the alternatives.
Not pretending there's only one possible answer.
But saying:
Here's what I think you should do, and here's why.
That's part of what someone is paying an experienced professional for.
I've found that people often don't need another twelve things to evaluate.
They need someone they trust to help reduce the decision.
More choice has value.
So does clarity.
And these days, I probably value clarity more.

Kepteasy wasn't born from sitting around asking:
“What's a software company we could start?”
It came the other way around.
Years of consulting.
Web design.
Marketing.
Design work.
Hosting.
Projects.
Clients.
Messages.
Files.
Meetings.
Contracts.
Invoices.
Payments.
And all the different software, folders, inboxes, spreadsheets and processes that slowly accumulate around doing that work.
Eventually the question became:
Why is running the work surrounding the client so fragmented?
When we looked for a solution on the market, even amongst all the project management software, we couldn't find a solution that had what we needed.
That's where Kepteasy came from.
Not from imagining how a client-service business might operate.
From operating one.
And that's still one of the principles behind what we build:
Start with the work.
Understand the problem.
Then build the software around it.

There is nothing wrong with specialized software.
The best tool for a particular job may absolutely deserve a place in your stack.
The problem starts when managing the relationship between your tools becomes another job.
Where's the client information?
Where was that decision made?
Which system has the current file?
Did this update sync over there?
Why are we entering this again?
A sophisticated operation isn't measured by how many tools it uses.
It's measured by how well the system works.
Use 2 tools. Use 12.
Just make sure they're removing more friction than they're creating.

Big update: Hosting and Domains is going live on the Kepteasy platform.
Pros/Agencies and their clients will be able to manage hosting/domains from the same place as everything else — and pros/agencies can make Affiliate income when your clients purchase any domain or hosting plan through the app.
We're rolling this out over the next couple of days and actively monitoring the whole time. If you hit an error, it's likely mid-deploy — refresh in a bit, and if it's still acting up, let us know.

A lot of businesses spend enormous amounts of energy trying to win the next client while quietly neglecting the ones they already have.
Great work matters.
So does what it's like to work with you.
**Save this one for your next client review — or share it with someone who runs a service business.**

When a new client request comes in, take two minutes before doing anything with it.
Classify it:
**DO** — It's small, clear and within scope.
**SCHEDULE** — It belongs in the project, but not right now.
**CLARIFY** — You don't have enough information to act.
**SCOPE** — It's new work and needs to be quoted or approved.
Four buckets.
That's it.
The important part is separating **“the client asked for it”** from **“I should immediately start doing it.”**
That tiny pause can protect your schedule, your scope and your sanity.

A lot of uncertainty comes from trying to solve the entire future at once.
You don't need to.
Figure out what's immediately in front of you.
Then take the next step.
The path tends to reveal itself to people who keep moving.

This may be the least exciting business advice you'll read today.
Write things down.
The thing the client asked for.
The decision you made.
The follow-up you promised.
The reason you did something a particular way.
The thing you're absolutely certain you'll remember tomorrow.
Because eventually tomorrow becomes three months from now, five other clients have happened, and you're staring at something thinking:
Why the hell did we do it this way?
I've trusted “I'll remember” more times than I care to admit.
I don't anymore.
Good records aren't exciting.
They're just incredibly useful when you need them.
Unsexy business advice tends to be like that.

Every tool starts with a promise to make something easier.
Then sometimes you find yourself:
Configuring the tool.
Maintaining the tool.
Moving information into the tool.
Moving information out of the tool.
Connecting the tool to another tool.
Fixing the connection between the tools.
And eventually managing the system that's supposed to be helping you manage the business.
We think good software should leave you with less work than you started with.
Less searching.
Less repeating.
Less remembering.
Less switching.
Less chasing.
More time for the work your clients actually hired you to do.
It's a simple principle, but it's behind a lot of how we think about Kepteasy.
Software should remove work.
