After the Ukraine war began, nearly 300,000 Ukrainians came to Canada under an emergency visa program for Ukrainians.

After more than 17 years as a client, I've ended my relationship with Scotiabank's Wealth Management division due to the bank's large stake in Israel's murderous drone manufacturer, Elbit Systems.

Prior to taking this decision, I met with Scotiabank's Head of Canadian Wealth Management, Alex Besharat, and urged the bank to divest from Elbit Systems.

Mr Besharat advised me that the bank would not do so.
