I talk a big game about not succumbing to fatalism, but I feel it inching closer to me everyday sometimes. I really feel the goal is to permanently disable us all. I need a beacon of hope.
@TYCHOVIBES Really sorry for your loss π« there is really a shortage of empathy going around these days. I believe they are ultimately succumbing to apathy and turning themselves toward Hikikomori lifestyles. I really do believe the most privileged pray for the world's downfall.
@lexbaudelairee Yeah, I have right reason to believe some of it is stress response, but I can't for the life of me take anyone seriously saying shit like, "omg a return to remote work and serenity" like you guys are so fucking unserious, my god. You don't give two shits about essential workers.
I remember reading an article years ago about zoonotic diseases and how they orignate+mutate, and there's a direct correlation between encroaching into areas human beings were never meant to touch and the proliferation of pathogens.
"When diseases move from animals to humans, and vice versa, it is usually because we have reconfigured our shared ecosystems in ways that make the transition much more likely."
We only have so much land left that is protected. This is what climate activists are talking about.
I understand how they populated this list, but some of these matchups are garbage. TPAB vs Emergency & I? Two totally different albums.
And then it's the same ten albums in one final circle-jerk standoff. Merits of the albums aside, I find Pitchfork pretty dispensible.
π Radiohead's OK Computer has won Pitchfork's Best Albums Bracket π
Some may be thinking: βNo Surprises!β For others, this win may come as a Let Down. In any case, we thank you for your enthusiastic Electioneering and invite you to cue the Exit Music (For a Bracket)
