151st evening of being smoke free, it's just 5 months but it does feel better already. I still have crazy cravings at times and the withdrawal sucks, but it's all for a maybe, better future.

@PitikHubad Just means they haven't bought a license for it, surprisingly, anyone can use win 11 without activating & with no time limit and only a few limitations: you just can't change the wallpaper, you infrequently get a reminder to activate, no cs & that watermark.
@KoeiTecmoUS Always loved the Fatal Frame series, it was right up there with Silent Hill for me as one of the best really scary video games. Fatal Frame II on the Switch 2 would be awesome, fear and fun anywhere you go.
I tidied the wires with contact sleeves & tried to make it look ok ๐ right now w/ 300w, system is eating 21-136w (mini ref, 2 fans, 10w usb), 136w is compressor on. I'm assuming 10h/day (7a-5p) 0.21-1.36 kwh (0.785 ave), 23.55/30 days = โฑ337 savings/mo. ROI, gonna be awhile ๐

Finally, after 4 days of slowly accumulating the parts, the base system is now wired and working. The mounting rail for the fuses should be here tomorrow & should allow for better wire management. Right now it's just powering 2 fans & charging my powerbank but it's still savings.
So you'll need 500 watts of solar panel output (500 - 40%) = 300 watts, using an MPPT controller can reduce system losses by half (only 10-20% loss) so you'll only need 400 watts panels to have 320 w.
Solar, if you're going DIY is A LOT to digest but it's quite interesting 11/11
My adventures in solar has been a bit nutty, in hindsight, I didn't do enough research so I'm posting my findings here.
First off, most (cheap solar charge) controllers will not work without a battery to charge (12v or 24v), it'll look like you wrecked your controller with 1/11
To provide that power you'll need to calculate total losses to the panel outputs (around 40% at worst) so if you're trying to run solely off solar playing your PS5 phat (around 220 watts gaming) + 32" led TV @ around 60 watts, you'll need at least 300 workable watts 10/11
