My husband’s greatest strength is his ability to truly listen, process, and solve problems. He has an incredible memory, stays calm under pressure, and leads with quiet confidence. He’s dedicated to helping others and would be a real force if he ever runs for office.
🎙️ Excited to be on the air with Chris McCarthy on WBSM 1420 AM! Listen in as I join The Chris McCarthy Show to talk about some of the important things I’ve been working on—and to highlight the ongoing effort behind Election Integrity and the Voter ID ballot initiative here in Massachusetts.
This is about transparency, accountability, and making sure every vote counts. If you care about election integrity, you’ll want to hear this conversation.
📅 Be sure to listen in and share with your friends who care about fair elections!
The Massachusetts Fiscal Alliance is calling on the Healey administration to pause a nearly $2 billion, 40-year lease for the new Springfield courthouse, the Roderick L. Ireland Regional Justice Center.
The winning development team includes CoJo Partners. Its principals are Conan Harris, husband of Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, and John Barros, who is currently serving as interim executive director of the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority.
Two losing bidders have filed a lawsuit alleging undisclosed conflicts of interest, questions about site control, and inconsistent application of procurement rules. This comes less than a year after the Applegreen highway service plaza deal collapsed amid similar concerns over transparency and conflicts.
When nearly $2 billion in taxpayer money is on the line over four decades, a little extra scrutiny and full transparency never hurts.
What do you think? Should the state slow this down and release the procurement records for review?
Sheriff Paul Heroux’s office released a dangerous criminal illegal alien even though ICE had requested he be held on a detainer. ICE Boston publicly called it out, noting the individual had a criminal history that included gun charges and resisting arrest.
Heroux has been clear about his approach: “I’m not going to notify ICE.” He says he will continue to refuse to even notify the agency when illegal immigrants are being released from his custody.
Here’s the part that stands out: There is no state law preventing Heroux from notifying ICE.
This looks like putting politics over public safety. Our communities deserve better when it comes to keeping dangerous individuals off the streets.
What do you think, Massachusetts? Should local sheriffs work with federal immigration authorities on these cases, or is this the right call?
I'm looking forward to joining The Ken Pittman Show on 1420 WBSM this Saturday, July 18, at 11:00 AM for a live radio debate.
We'll be discussing the issues that matter most to the people of the 9th Bristol District, including affordability, public safety, government accountability, and the future of our communities.
Whether you agree with me or not, I encourage you to tune in and hear the conversation for yourself.
I hope you'll all join us!
Louisa Gag, the 36-year-old Boston transportation planner and dedicated bike safety advocate who was tragically killed while cycling near Roxbury Crossing last week.
Louisa spent her career working to make our streets safer for cyclists and pedestrians. Her loss is a painful reminder of the real dangers when bikes share the road with cars without proper protection.
Electric bikes are becoming more common. If they are not allowed in bike lanes they will be forced to ride in traffic right alongside cars. That is most likely going to cause more casualties.
There is some proposed legislation that could create new speed tiers for these devices. But the core issue stays the same. Without safe separated space, mixing e-bikes with fast car traffic will keep putting lives at risk.
Federal prosecutors just charged seven current and former Red Line workers with falsifying track inspection reports to collect fraudulent overtime.
They allegedly skipped the actual inspections, faked reports in the MaxTrax app, and billed for overtime they never worked, all while hanging out at Cabot Yard.
No exact dollar figure on this scheme yet, but the MBTA paid out $126 million in overtime last year alone. This is exactly why some folks on Beacon Hill keep fighting the full legislative audit voters approved.
Taxpayers and riders deserve real accountability.
Governor Healey signed the new $63.4 billion state budget yesterday. She stated, “Massachusetts needs a budget that makes life more affordable and that’s exactly what this delivers.”
It adds some funding for housing vouchers, healthcare subsidies, schools, and a modest bump in local aid to cities and towns.
In reality, our state budget keeps hitting record highs year after year. Way too much stays locked up in big state agencies, MassHealth bureaucracy, and central programs instead of flowing back directly to cities and towns. That leaves local governments still struggling with property taxes, roads, and services.
The 4% increase might help a few targeted programs, but with overall spending this bloated and costs rising fast, most residents probably won’t feel much real relief.
Taxpayer dollars should never be used to erode the right to keep and bear arms.
Chapter 135, the claims being made by the opposition, and why this repeal effort matters for every Massachusetts voter who cares about constitutional rights are all broken down here.
The Massachusetts House recently passed H.5562, an economic development bill, by a vote of 148-2.
One amendment included in the final bill would provide an additional $1 million in state funding for research into plant-based, cell-cultured, and fermentation technologies used to develop alternatives to traditional meat and dairy products, including research related to cultivated meat.
Supporters say investments like these can encourage innovation, expand research opportunities, and help position Massachusetts as a leader in emerging technologies.
Others question whether taxpayer dollars should be used for this type of research, especially when there are many competing priorities for public funding.
If lawmakers are allocating an additional $1 million, would you support funding research into cultivated meat and alternative proteins, or do you think it's better spent elsewhere?
And on a lighter note... would you ever try lab-grown meat?
The U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division announced this week that federal election monitors will be deployed to "Boston and New Bedford" for the September Massachusetts primary. This is part of a broader effort sending monitors to 15 jurisdictions across six states.
On the same day, the DOJ sent letters to election officials nationwide (including here in Massachusetts) reminding them that they could face criminal liability if they knowingly keep noncitizens on voter registration rolls or allow noncitizens to vote in federal elections.
This is standard DOJ monitoring for compliance with federal voting laws. Do you think there needs to be more cities and towns on the list to be monitored?
@islantstudio This type of disdain for average tax paying citizens in favor of supporting illegal migrants & serving climate change fraud fringe are just two reasons decided to run for State Senator in Middlesex & Worcester District vs Eldrige. Appreciate any support https://t.co/OJP0Wubxc8
Massachusetts families are paying some of the highest electricity prices in the nation. Meanwhile, a huge chunk of your gas bills goes to delivery charges, surcharges, and programs, not the actual gas itself.
Businesses are struggling with rising energy costs, and Beacon Hill continues pushing mandates that force greater reliance on electricity while driving up the cost to produce it.
It seems Senator Eldridge and too many others on Beacon Hill keep choosing to prioritize climate activist groups over the hardworking ratepayers footing the bill.
We must repeal the net zero mandates if we want real relief for Massachusetts families and businesses.
When will our elected leaders put affordability and reliability for Massachusetts families and businesses first?

Rise and shine to all in Massachusetts as we highlight another story that made me proud to be from the Commonwealth.
While our state government chose not to officially participate in the Great American State Fair on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., another one of our own still stepped up anyway.
Judith Kalaora, a Boston resident, showed up at the Massachusetts booth dressed in a full Revolutionary War uniform to honor Deborah Sampson, the brave Massachusetts woman who disguised herself as a man to fight for our independence. She didn’t do it for politics or attention; she did it to remind people of Massachusetts’ incredible revolutionary spirit and to bring our shared American heritage to life for visitors from across the country.
In her own words, Judith hoped her presence would “unite folks to realize that Boston and Massachusetts have a great spirit.”
That’s the Massachusetts I know and love, everyday people stepping forward with pride when it matters most.
Thank you, Judith, for representing us so beautifully in D.C. during America’s 250th anniversary celebrations.
Boston had a chaotic and violent July 4th weekend marked by multiple shootings that left two people dead and 11 others injured.
Officials and residents are coming together and calling for more resources, including stronger police presence and greater investment in community programs, to make our city safer for everyone.
“Enough is enough,” as some leaders have said, and real change comes from both enforcement and proactive support in our neighborhoods.
Let’s stand together in support of these efforts to keep our communities strong and safe.
Illegal aliens SHOULD NOT be driving trucks on American highways.
This Haitian illegal alien was RELEASED into our country by the Biden Administration, and the sanctuary state of Massachusetts gave him a Commercial Driver’s License.
Now, a Pennsylvania State Trooper is dead after a crash that was 100% preventable.
